    Introducing Net-a-Porter's Bridal Boutique!

    image
Pauline Montupet on Mar 25, 2009 7:20 AM PDT
I€™ve never been the type to want the traditional princess wedding gown. There will be no sweetheart neckline tulle overlay dress at my wedding. Where does a girl like me go to find wedding attire, something more edgy than your run of the mill Vera Wang? Net-a-porter.com, my go to site for all things designer, has now opened its e-doors to its wedding boutique! They have your wedding day covered, stocked with everything you need as a bride, for your bridesmaid and even for the mother of the bride. Floor length Phillip Lim and Marchesa gowns that can be paired beautifully with metallic Louboutins and Phillip Crangi drop earrings that just scream chic are just some of the things you'll find, but they didn€™t stop there! They also have plenty of little naughty lingerie pieces and some great resort picks for a beach bound honeymoon. While there may not be wedding bells in my near future, I have plenty of weddings to attend- five and counting this summer! And they have that covered too. With easy navigation tabs like beach, country, day and evening, it€™s easy to find the perfect dress for any wedding you're attending. And as usual you can always call one of their fashion advisors free of charge if you have any questions or simply need some extra help. Click the slideshow to see more.

Stylediarist Spotlight: Juicygal Squeezes the Runway Into ...

    image

A fantastical mixture of neon, metallics, and some very unique runway looks, Juicygal makes what most wouldn't even dream of wearing during the light of day, amazingly everyday-friendly. This Stylediarist is an obvious color (and Karen Walker) lover and is a hardcore print mixer. She has fun with larger-than-life plaid bows, brightly colored tights, even brighter flats and wedges, plus accessories galore! She borrows looks and pieces inspired by many different eras, especially from the 80's, and makes them uniquely her own. If you are looking for some fun ways to really wear color, you won't be disappointed. Find some of my favorite looks that she's concocted in the SLIDESHOW, and you'll see that this girl brings the party with her.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week SWIM Runway: Zimmermann

    image
Lisanne Silverman on Jul 21, 2008 2:17 PM PDT
Aussie swimwear line Zimmermann is known for its consistently sizzling collections, and the latest looks to hit the Miami runway are certainly no exception. Skimpy cuts and look-at-me colors are tempered by ruffles and floral prints, perfect for retro-loving beach bunnies and jet-setting divas alike. It's clear the days of swimwear shopping are no longer dominated by the decision between one-piece and bikini- Zimmerman's swimwear walks the line with everything from lingerie-inspired tops to mesh-covered monokinis. The cover-ups were equally stunning, in tribal prints and dressing gown-inspired silhouettes in addition to the more traditional caftans. It would be impossible not to mention the accessories- while most of us expect to be drenched in sun and sand, Zimmermann's models were drenched in chunky jewelry and layered necklaces- something I wouldn't necessarily recommend for a beach day, but for strolling around the resort- or let's be realistic, the living room- why not?
