    Which CW Starlet Looked The Hottest At Teen Vogue's Young ...

    Somehow Teen Vogue's annual Young Hollywood Party seemed so much more laid-back without having to watch Lauren Conrad run around backstage on the verge of tears like a chicken with its head cut off. While I'm sure there were plenty of other interns slaving behind the wings making sure it all ran smoothly, the event was much more enjoyable from our view on the red carpet. After all, what's a Teen Vogue party without the chance to really check out the entrance ensembles! With all the black, chrome, and grey dresses and pantsuits, I couldn't help but ask myself, has fall finally arrived, or is everyone just feeling "blah" tonight? And also, who are some of these people? I had to give credit to CW's newest bad girl, Katie Cassidy, for brightening the mood with a seriously colorful corseted number... while her fellow station-pals Jessica Stroup and AnnaLynne McCord kept it cool in monochrome.     Who Can Pull Off A Bright Red Pin-Up Girl Pucker?

    Forget shimmery beiges and glossy nudes! According to some of today's most beauty-savvy starlets, the chic trend in lip color during this almost-summer season is a punchy red-orange pout to match the red carpet they're treading on! With accompanying curly locks and sometimes even mile-long lash extensions to boot, it seems like young Hollywood fashionistas are taking a page from the old Hollywood glamour book and channeling some of their favorite pin-up poster girls in a way that's both classic and hip. While Katy Perry is no stranger to cranberry lipstick (topped with cherry chapstick, no doubt), other lippy ladies like TV bad gal AnnaLynne McCord, Katharine McPhee, and Evan Rachel Wood are less about the retro-glam gimmick and more about making a bold yet risky statement with their racy kisser.     Which Young Starlet Showed Off The Most Grown-Up Fashion ...

    This past Saturday, while UCLA students begrudgingly returned to campus as spring break came to a close, their back-to-school blues were made just a little more bearable with a slew of orange carpet celebrity sightings right on campus! Nickelodeon's 2009 Kids' Choice Awards, which takes place annually at the school's Pauley Pavilion, brought to Bruin territory the likes of Megan Fox, Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, and the whole High School Musical crew, among tons of other Young Hollywood appearances worthy of making any paparazzo drool. While the kids called the shots as far as who received a golden Blimp statuette and who got slimed, it was the ladies who took the cake on the carpet, looking much more like refined young women than their kiddie characters who shot them to fame. Instead of the more casual jeans-and-heels combo that stars have been known to rock at the lesser-hyped award shows geared towards kids and teens, today's younger vixens stepped it up a notch with designer babydolls and platform sandals, showing that they can compete stylewise with even some of fashion's most mature!
