    Get Kristen Bell's Edgy-Femme Look

It looks like some of the on-set styles are rubbing off on Gossip Girl narrator Kristen Bell, who has been getting increasingly more fashionable these days! For an LA screening of her film Fanboys, Kristen really got in touch with her inner style-setter, mixing and matching for a super chic look that infused the perfect dose of edge to a flirty and femme look. The petite starlet paired a printed white mini skirt with a simple gray tank which she topped off with a fantastic cropped leather jacket- all from Jenni Kayne. She finished off the look with a killer pair of Jimmy Choo sandals, a sleek Kotur clutch, Amrapali bracelets, and a large Bochic cocktail ring. My favorite part about this look is that while everything works perfectly together, each individual piece is so beyond fabulous on its own and can be used to up the chic quotient of any ensemble.

    Get Lauren Conrad's Rocker-Chic Look!

    image

For an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman, Hills star Lauren Conrad left her sweet and subdued California-girl style at home, opting to rock an edgy city-chic look instead. The secret to Lauren's style panache is that she never lets trends dominate and stays true to her signature style, even when veering away from her fashion comfort zone. Lauren offset the edgy, androgynous vibe created by her high-waisted Alice + Olivia wide leg pants and cropped Mike & Chris leather jacket with a flirty, low-cut ruffled top by Yaya Aflalo. She added an edgy studded belt (a definite homage to the ultimate city gal, Carrie Bradshaw) and rounded out the look with her tried-and-true signatures- a Chanel purse and Christian Louboutin pumps for a beautifully balanced, perfectly pulled together look that was on-trend without looking too contrived. Check out my SLIDESHOW to see the pieces that make up Lauren's rockin' look!

Is It 1992 Again? Because Plaid Is Everywhere!

    image

For inspiration for their fall 2008 collections, it seems like our favorite designers whipped out their old Nirvana and Pearl Jam records and got back into the Seattle spirit because plaid was the standout trend on every runway from New York to London to Milan to Paris and LA. Fashion heavy-hitters like Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana , Vivienne Westwood, Whitley Cross, Chanel and loads of others experimented with the timeless pattern, updating it by playing with colors, textures, cuts, and a variety of accessories. Celebrities are always way ahead of the rest of us when it comes to spreading the trend love, so of course, plaid is making its way onto the taut bodies of some of our favorite style-setting celebs which inevitably means in a few months time, plaid will be at the top of everyone€™s €˜I need this RIGHT NOW€™ list. So get a head start on the plaid action by checking out our slideshow for some super cute ways to go mad for plaid (sorry, I really just had to throw that in somewhere!!).
