Modern Footwear Meets Urban Romance With 80%20 Shoes At ...

The new 80%20 Shoes fall collection has just landed at Karmaloop.com! Designer and owner CeCe Chin first conceived the New York-based label in 2004, when she came up with the concept that 80% of the time we tend to wear our favorite 20% of our wardrobe. The smallest percent has the greatest impact. 80% life, 20% shoes = 100% LOVE! Genius, right? The new collection yields nothing short of stylish and chic footwear. Chin found inspiration in the urban romance and creative vision prevalent in the early 80s, particularly in NYC. Strength and femininity are pervading themes throughout the collection, as she updates her signature hidden wedges with cut outs, buckles and chains. Classic references are also drawn with bridle leather, buffalo check patterns and neutral color palettes. The complete collection presents itself as the footwear for a modern city warrior, arming herself with creativity, functional style and optimism for possibilities to come! My favorite picks are the Ruby Gathered Hidden Wedge Boot, the Zoey Geisha Gladiator Wooden Wedge and the Bobbie Gathered Hidden Wedge Boot. What to Wear: After Work Cocktails!

Your co-workers make a plan to go out for drinks after work later in the week to celebrate finishing the most recent big project. Fun! There are a couple key rules for these events: 1) don't drink like a frat boy and 2) don't show too much skin! It's important to maintain a professional demeanor, but still, looking cute and fun for your night out is a must! You'll need an outfit that can transition with just a few quick accessory changes. For instance, if you start with the BR Monogram Collection tulip dress with a sweater for day, then you can easily do a shoe change for heels and make it a classy evening look. Ditch your day purse for a cute and shiny clutch like this Nordstrom square stone silk clutch. If all else fails, just switch your work-appropriate shoes for some sassy wedges like these wave pattern wedges from Anthropologie! Check out my slideshow for other after-work cocktail looks!

Whether you're tackling midterms or quarter finals this week, impatiently crossing off the calendar days in anxious anticipation of Spring Break, or just trying to trudge through another tough few days at the office, it can be a struggle to work up the motivation every morning to keep your fingers off the snooze button and get ready to give your all to everything you'll attempt throughout the day. With all the to-do's piling up on your plate, it might seem frivolous to take out extra time from your agenda or precious sleep schedule to plan out the perfect ensemble, footwear included; after all, whatever you grab off your closet floor in the dim wee hours of the dawn will suit you just fine. However, haven't you ever noticed how looking great, feeling confident head-to-toe, and even just feeling excited about a new pair of shoes just boosts your overall mood and makes your optimism go through the roof? That's right, I'll say it -- a stylish pair of shoes can save the day! Whether your week is best suited for some smart flats like Virgos, a practical pair of tennies for speedy Sagittariuses, or a killer pair of platforms for ultimate attention-getting Aquariuses, you're destined to find that putting a little extra thought into what you tread in will not only make you look amazing, but will also help you be armed and ready for whatever hoops you'll have to jump through or obstacles you'll have to sidestep in the days ahead. Check the slideshow to see what the stars have in store for you and your feet this week!
