While the first thought of plastic shoes brings me back to my childhood summers playing in parks while wearing jelly shoes, they're not something I'd typically wear today. However, Brazil-based Melissa Shoes has been on my fashion radar for the last few years and I think I'm ready to take the plunge into plastic shoes again. If you're not familiar with Melissa, you may have heard some of the other world class designers the company has worked with including Vivienne Westwood, Alexandre Herchcovitch, and there's an upcoming collaboration with Jean-Paul Gaultier. Following their motto "Plastic Dreams, Melissa has produced 50 million pairs of shoes over the past 25 years in an eco-friendly way. The Melissa Ashanti bootie has completely charmed me with its fashion-forward silhouette and since they're completely waterproof, I can finally say goodbye to my clunky rain boots.

The fall runways were splattered with bright hues and neon shades. Erin O'Connor showed us how to do it best at the Vivienne Westwood Red Label fashion show during London Fashion Week, by adding just a splash to an all black or neutral outfit. The model strutted her stuff front row at the show in a sexy fitted sequin blazer and with some slouchy black trousers. However, what took her outfit from chic to extraordinary was the large neon pink purse. Neon can be a hard trend to tackle (like the Michael Kors highlighter yellow trapper hat) but when done in small doses it can really pack a punch with out making you look like your dressed for an '80s party. Check out the slideshow for how to get Erin's look as well as some other neon accessories. Photo credit: PR Photos

London is known for iconic street fashion. Big names like Vivienne Westwood have people always turning back to London to see what's edgy and in. International designers come here and scout for new ideas for their collections. Outside of the collections, innovative shops emerge that create new trends and a whole different way of dressing. One such shop is AllSaints where you can find unique twists on all the latest trends made with quality fabrics and craftsmen-ship. AllSaints now has 50 UK shops, with Paris and Antwerp recently added to its 53 concessions globally. AllSaints focuses on cutting-edge silhouettes like disheveled ruffles and gathers and details like studs, straps and cool graphics that give it its street-vibe attitude. The idea of femininity is played with and then proudly presented with masculine pieces like slouchy pants or structured blazers and even studded leather jackets, but all leave the wearer still looking sexy and dangerously flirtatious. These dresses and shoes are only an example of the great looks that AllSaints has for summer. So how do you wear these gorgeous dresses? Add a leather jacket or the drapey long cardigan from All Saints for a chic street look. Doc Martins and leggings in winter, gladiator sandals in summer. Check out www.AllSaints.com to take a look at some other amazing, must-have pieces!

    Influential International Style: Alexa Chung

Sometimes, when you see a girl with seemingly effortless style that you know you would look ridiculous in, even if you were wearing literally the exact same clothes, it can make you jealous. Okay, maybe that's just me. But in the case of British model/television host Alexa Chung, it just makes you want to be her slightly less cool friend. Having modeled for the likes of Urban Outfitters, Antipodium and Vivienne Westwood, it figures that her style boasts eclectic choices as well as informed classics. Think mixing white t-shirts with fancy shorts and a simple tote bag, pairing it with messy hair and actually not looking insane. She takes experimental choices on red carpets, always, always dresses for her own body, and always looks comfortable in her own skin. Check out my slideshow for ways you can mimic the lovely Alexa Chung's style and maybe someone will want to be your slightly less cool friend!

London Fashion Week Runway: Class Is In Session With Vivienne ...

The Fall 2009 Vivienne Westwood Red Label runway show is said to have been inspired by naughty boarding school girls and evil headmistresses. With that theme in mind, the show did not disappoint. With some celebrity models like Daisy Lowe and Alice Dellal stomping down the runway, they entertained and showed us what all the it girls of London will be wearing next season. Vivienne Westwood's signature tartan and androgynous flair showcased skintight dresses with sweetheart necklines and jackets with strong shoulders. An intriguing look was an olive green poncho/dress hybrid layered over a men's oxford shirt and knit minidress. Not sure if the clothes are right for you? The collection is fit for cliques ranging from the siren, prepster or goth which extended to three separate beauty looks. The siren had classic 1950s winged eyeliner, the prepster wore bright fuchsia lipstick and the goth wore a dark chocolate brown lipstick.

Looking for a jacket that's timeless yet on-trend and will get you through winter and well into spring? Look no further! Military jackets have been seen all over the runways from Gucci to Moschino, worn on celebs like Mischa Barton and Victoria Beckham, and featured on street fashion blogs from Los Angeles to Paris. Military jackets are usually characterized by bold knob buttons, a double-breasted fit, and come in neutral and classic colors like black, cream, or navy. Whether they're mid-length or cropped, you can find something that suits your style and climate. Worried about price? I've found military-inspired jackets that hit every price point from $40 to over $700. The cape cadet coat from Elizabeth & James brings a dramatic military flair to any ensemble, while a wool-blend tweed jacket is suited for everyday wear. So snap into attention and get shopping!
