When Emilio Pucci scribbled his signature across his designs, it marked the debut of a designer's name as an external logo. But Pucci wasn't content to just make dresses. His designs included the now famous Braniff International Airlines uniforms, the logo for the Apollo 15 space mission, tableware for Rosenthal, and even the interior of a Ford Lincoln Continental! Now vintage designs by this "Prince of Prints" are legendary and forever popular because they make any girl feel like a "Princess of Prints." Whether its for day or evening, no one rocks bold, brightly colored graphics better than this CFDA award winner and this fabulous little collection of vintage Pucci frocks shows off his genius. They're all perfect finds for vintage fashionistas! Just click the slide show to see the selection.

Vintage Fashionistas Savor Gray This Season!

When searching for vintage clothing online, it's important that you use the right keywords to find what you want. And heaven forbid you're looking for something gray, because well, there's gray (the American spelling) and then there's grey (the British spelling). Of course, since vintage clothing sellers on both sides of the pond spell this color both ways without any sensible rhyme or reason, the wise online vintage shopper knows to plug both spellings into their search engines. If you do, you'll be rewarded with a smorgasbord of vintage treats in this classic, conservative neutral. Try substituting darker charcoal shades of gray for black. Or choose pale shades of gray to take the place of white. Morning, noon or night, for dresses, coats or evening gowns, gray is a fabulous wardrobe choice for a vintage fashionista. So Turkey Day is a just a few weeks away, and maybe your family allows you to wear Uggs to the dinner table. But maybe not. Maybe you're going to be meeting his parents for the first time this year. Or maybe it's your turn to channel Martha Stewart and host all the relatives at your place for the first time. Maybe you want to be thankful while feeling confident and looking great. (And certainly looking great will help you feel more confident!) If so, then you'll love this selection of dresses for the Thanksgiving Hostess-with-the-Mostest. After consuming waaaaay too many calories, these knit and jersey beauties will still be comfortable. And, if you do happen to dribble a bit of cranberry sauce on their deep, rich prints, no one will notice. And that makes them perfect Thanksgiving Day dresses for vintage fashionistas. Vintage Halston, Bill Blass, Rodarte. If your heart rate sped up just a bit upon reading those words, you'll want to check out the vintage sale going on at YOOX right now! It's a part of American Glamour, a YOOX shopping event, and American Beauty: Aesthetics & Innovation, an FIT exhibition that debuted last Friday. The exhibit features about 75 couture masterpieces from 20 designers, while the American Glamour sale will showcase a collection of samples by fifteen designers including the aforementioned Halston and Blass, plus other legendary couturiers and even some contemporary designers (Laura and Kate Mulleavy of Rodarte, Ralph Rucci, Isabel Toledo, to name a few). Part of the motivation behind the event is to show that America's contribution to fashion goes far beyond the invention of sportswear and the rise of mass marketing, and also to provide a highly curated collection of one-of-a-kind items to breathe life into an industry where trends are exhausted and uniqueness is often hard to come by. Click here to shop the exclusive collection and learn more about YOOX and FIT.

Vintage Fashionistas Cheer For Pink And Orange!

You don't need to be a genius to determine that I am not a big fan of pink, based on a quick peek into my closet. Or orange, for that matter. So it's hard for me to explain why I squeal with delight when I see these two colors together. I guess sometimes what seems like two fashion wrongs can actually make a big fashion right! And lots of folks agree. Like Jonathan Adler, for instance, who believes there's no better way to banish the blues than with this bright color combination. Or Alexander Girard and so many other designers in the 1960s who married these two tangy shades in home decor and advertising as well as in fashion. Today's slideshow features some outstanding vintage examples of this zesty color pairing, which is like putting on an instant good mood (or enjoying a nice big scoop of rainbow sherbet). Who can possibly stay dreary while wearing something this bright and cheery? Click the slideshow to get inspired!

Sure, retro "gadgets" may look cool in a stylishly old-fashioned sort of way, but when it comes to actually using them, our geeky reliance on modern-day tech has us too cyber-spoiled and impatient to put any effort in something that can't keep up with our 3G speediness. The solution? A techie piece of equipment that just looks vintage, but packs all the convenient specs and capabilities of the most recent releases in the gadget world. The Revo Heritage Table Radio has the 60s-style walnut veneer surface, but boasts some seriously modern features in that retro-looking package: an iPod dock, WiFi for all your favorite internet stations, wireless streaming from your laptop, a remote control for maximum laziness, and even an alarm clock in case you doze off while listening to your tunes. It's the perfect device for the music lover who may have an old soul... but secretly can't live without a healthy dose of modern tech!

    Price: 229,95 GBP
