America's Next Top Model Cycle 14 Premieres Tonight! Check Out My Top 3 Predictions!

Yup, it's "America's Next Top Model" season yet again, and after a brief interlude of giving the shorter girls a chance last fall (was I the only one that found it super blahhh?), cycle 14 takes things back to their 5'7"-and-up standards. But at least one vital aspect is bound to be different this time -- new judge Andre Leon Talley, Vogue editor-at-large, is joining the judges' table! I know what you're thinking: are Andre and Miss J. going to have to compete to out-sass each other? Much to my dismay (and probably yours too), Miss J. is retiring his post on the panel for the time-being. But fear not -- he'll still be gracing us with his presence on the show, returning to a more coach-like position to help train the models rather than just sending them packing. So which of this cycle's 13 contestants are destined to go the distance? You know I love sizing the girls up on the CW site and making first impression-based predictions, and while I haven't quite mastered the art of snap judgments, I'm determined not to give up! Last time, my guesses certainly improved -- two of them made it nearly to the end (it's not my fault they didn't have a Top 3 this time around!) and one of my picks even took the shorty title (yay Nicole!). Maybe this time I'll hit the psychic jackpot and name all three! Visit the CW site to learn more about the models you'll see on the show tonight, then read on to see my predictions for this season's Top 3! Photo Source: CWtv.com
Andre Leon Talley Joins America's Next Top Model

During the past 13 cycles of America's Next Top Model, the show's had quite the impressive array of judges. Now it's time to add Andre Leon Talley, editor-at-large of American Vogue, to the list. Before the show became a household name, Tyra Banks pitched the idea to Talley over lunch and asked him to join. Talley declined. "At that point, I said no because it was the beginning. I was thinking I wanted to see where it goes," he said. With the 14th season about to start, Talley has agreed to join the judging panel for three cycles. What made him change his mind? "I felt maybe I could contribute something to it that had not been on the show. I just felt that it was a way to step out of the box and associate myself with a very important American success story, a very important brand - Tyra Banks," he said. Talley and Banks were first introduced backstage during a Yves Saint Laurent show; Banks was just 16 years old. Although Talley had never seen an episode of the show, he wasn't reluctant to take on the responsibility. Fortunately, Anna Wintour didn't seem to mind Talley's new gig either. When asked for a comment, her spokesman told WWD, "Andre is always onto new things on television, and I think his latest adventure sounds like a lot of fun and I look forward to watching him on the program."
