    Amsterdam International Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010: ...

Born in Los Angeles from the socialite mind of Ava Riley and brought to Amsterdam in cooperation with Olcay Gulsen, the SuperTrash collection may exude plenty of Hollywood It-Girl glamour at heart, but it has undoubtedly adopted plenty of Dutch flavor. The label showed at this season's Amsterdam International Fashion Week in a crowded venue with former supermodel Janice Dickinson as a special guest sitting front row. The collection was split into three themes: Animal Jungle, Blossom and Kaleidoscope. The first was inspired by all imperfections of nature, such as animal prints and flowing lines, while the second theme conjured up spring-like elements- elegant, glamorous, and a little naive. Kaleidoscope was all about colors with bright tunics and caftans. Overall it was very commercial, very feminine, and a very playful display of fashion that SuperTrash pulled off well. Take a look at the slideshow for a glimpse of the collection!

Bermuda Shorts To The Rescue For Summer Style

Bermuda shorts are my summertime best friend. I wear shorts once in a while, but there's definitely a time and place for that. Beach, yes. Work, probably not. Which is why Bermuda shorts are so genius. They're basically a fashionable way to to hide your flaws, keep cool, and still achieve a dose of summer style. I love a wardrobe piece that allows you to be stylish, summery and professional. Pair your Bermuda shorts with a tunic blouse and a pair of embellished flat sandals. Not everyone should wear short shorts outside of the realm of surf and sand, so Bermudas are the way to go to reconcile the need to wear warm weather clothes with the need to be, um, modest. Head on over to TheFind for more summer style staples!

Stylediary Spotlight: Meet a Sweet Vintage Fashion Blogger ...

Even though Spring is traditionally synonymous with growth, renewal, and new life, for some reason I always feel the need for a style remix come Fall. I usually attribute it to the Back to School shopping bug in anticipation for the start of a new academic calendar (and fueled by the expanding stack of temptation-filled catalogs in my mailbox on a now daily basis). As a result, I have been in a constant search for style inspiration - and I think I have finally found my match! Meet Jones a StyleDiarist with a mad sense of vintage style. Orange County based (and with a rockin' blog all about her vintage finds), Jones refuses to let modern fashion rules dictate what she can and cannot wear. She wears the clothes - not any other way around, and because of this, her eclecticism shines through in all of her featured StyleDiary get-ups. In terms of her personal fashion philosophy, I really can't fathom how to begin to describe it other than by saying that she is a true mixmaster with a fetish for vintage design. She doesn't favor just one style, time period, designer or even color. Instead she uses bits and pieces of them all, and the result is amazing yet completely her own. So open up your notebook, get out your pencil and get ready to take some serious notes. She hits the spot inspiration-wise for me, and I'm already brainstorming ways to blend her timeless yet edgy mixture of style with some of my more classic Fall items. Click over to her StyleDiary to see some of her impressive vintage finds, and click on over to my SLIDESHOW for some of my favorite looks straight from Jones' page!
