Menswear-Inspired Trousers Are Sexy For Fall '09

While I love all the options that women's fashion brings, sometimes I wish it was just a little bit easier. On those cold and dark mornings I am so jealous of the guys who can just wake up and throw on some nice pressed trousers and crisp shirt and look sharp. Good thing menswear trousers are super chic for fall '09, and these aren't your basic work pants either. Keep your cuffed, wide-leg, crease-front pants in rotation, they're perfect work basics but pants are going way beyond the basic this fall. To take the menswear pants from day to night, try experimenting with some luxe fabrics and fashion-forward shapes, like the cropped tapered trouser, one of fall's hot silhouettes. They're loose around the hips but skim the calf and show a little sexy skin at the ankle. No matter which way you go, please ladies, don't steal them directly from the boys department. It's all about the fit here, and men's pants are cut to fit all our of lovely lady lumps. Check out the SLIDESHOW to see some sexy menswear-inspired trousers that will have the boys lining up behind you.

Stylehive's Stylescopes Encourage You To Raid Your ...

Okay, so it's pretty apparent that the "boyfriend"-inspired trend doesn't actually look like it came from your man's closet, but you gotta admit that it's a pretty cute concept given the comfy, slightly oversized fits that are still flattering to your feminine physique. And the best part about the misnomer? You don't actually need your own ball-and-chain to cop the looks. So whether you're single or attached, the stars say you're destined to rock the boyfriend look this week, be it a blazer, a pair of shorts, or even a zip-up hoodie that fits slightly better than the one your dude left at your place. Libras can keep it casual or even go pro in a boyfriend jacket and Sagittarius ladies will stay comfy-cool in some denim shorts, for example. Just be careful not to wear too many oversized items at once -- you don't want to look like you raided your dad's closet instead! Check the slideshow to see the week's pick for your sign!

Look Chic in Menswear for New Year's Eve!

Sick and tired of wearing the same little black dress on New Year's Eve? While it's typically a night for sequins and sparkles, you don't have to go to road most traveled. Set a resolution not to be dressed like everyone else and try something new! By 'new' I mean some sexy menswear that is sure to catch the eye of your special someone when the clock strikes midnight. Start with some black trouser or tuxedo pants, even buy them a size too big to get a cool slouchy look, a la Olsen twin. Top it off with a girly take on a menswear shirt, like this killer steal from J.Crew. Instead of a blazer or tuxedo jacket, try this season's must-have: an oversized vest- my pick is a long white silk one from Josh Goot. To keep the look sexy, sky high heels are a must. Finish the look off with a shiny patent clutch bag and a big bauble ring for some sparkle...it is New Year's Eve after all! Check out the slideshow to get all the pieces for this killer look.

The popular look of menswear-inspired apparel for women dominated this season's collections with pantsuits, trousers, and double-breasted blazers and don't think it's over yet--you'll be seeing this androgynous look well into Spring too. At the Fifth Anniversary of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, models Chanel Iman and Agyness Deyn both sported menswear-inspired looks with tailored pantsuits paired with feminine accessories. Chanel showed her support for Obedient Sons And Daughters in a grey suit from their Fall 2008 collection paired with a black fur stole and suede pumps, while Agyness Deyn rocked a sleek black tuxedo suit with killer red Alejandro Ingelmo heels. We already know Alexander Wang won this year's CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award, but who's the victor in this style showdown? Vote now!

After launching their first denim collection at San Francisco's Cathedral Hill Hotel on November 6, Dugen Thomas has made quite a splash in men's fashion. Noticing a void in the fashion industry, Dugen Thomas CEO DeNay S. Thomas-Ramsey began his quest to provide versatile and stylish fashion that would flawlessly travel from the home to the office, and then out on the town. Successfully realizing his vision, he released a chic collection of active business apparel, consisting of jeans, trousers, polo shirts, t-shirts, button up shirts, jackets and sports jackets. The collection stays true to his original concept with clean lines and easy-to-pair pieces sure to create a sophisticated look for any man, on any occasion. And if you didn't think Dugen Thomas could look smarter, think again. The company donates 5% of its profits to various medical foundations benefiting cystic fibrosis, sarcoidosis, diabetes, and colon cancer. Click the slideshow for a taste of the collection, along with some photos from the runway show that you won't want to miss.
