Skin is In! Charming Snakeskin Accessories To Slither Into ...

    image

Snakeskin prints have slithered their way into stores! At the spring runway shows, they were on everything-- dresses, skirts, hats, bags, shoes, belts... and dyed in every color! It's all about adding texture to your look with skins. Look for color-rich reptile accessories; they're a great way to dabble in the trend without looking like a walking (well, slithering) reptile. Real snakeskin and python can be quite expensive, but there are plenty of faux embossed options that will keep you from having buyer's remorse when this trend slithers away. Try a sexy snakeskin sandal with a basic ensemble to pump up a look. A bright colored python belt works perfectly to cinch this season's slouchy boyfriend jeans and khakis. Don't be afraid to mix and match your snakeskin- just keep one neutral and the other colorful for a coordinating but not overly calculated look. Check out the slideshow to see some ssssssuper sssnake accessories that are sure to charm you!

Jessica Alba Is Trendy in MK2K Plaid

    image
Ida Hsiang on Jul 17, 2009 5:22 AM PDT
Jessica Alba was spotted leaving the ever-trendy Nobu, fittingly in a very "in" plaid blouse by MK2K. She paired her top with a black cardigan, black pants and simple jewelry, making this low-key outfit chic and comfortable. Jessica would look good in anything but this shirt works to highlight her super-slim figure. It is also an outfit that would look good on a variety of people, whether or not they have the body Jessica does. With a smocked front, this inexpensive blouse ($143!) is great for concealing a larger mid-section (not that Jessica has one by the looks of her bikini pics). Paired with skinner jeans, shorts or a skirt, this shirt can be dressed up or down depending on how you want to wear it. MK2K is a brand beloved by many stars and regular shoppers alike. Their line consists of adorable tops, fun and flirty dresses and versatile blouses. Plaid has been a trend we have been seeing for a while and it looks to have no signs of going out anytime soon. Getting Jessica's exact look is very easy. Simply pair this top with a pair of skinny black jeans or pants. Accessorize with thin gold hoops, a gold necklace, red nails and a Chanel-like bag! Betsey Johnson, the Goddess of Fashion, has just released her new collection of handbags, now available at Karmaloop.com. The Betsey Johnson handbag collection is one of the designer's newest addition to her label, featuring bags of all sizes, of all colors, of all designs. Betsey Johnson's bags are fun, girly and super chic. Nothing short of posh and trendy, they add style to any outfit. It's no surprise that such a collection stems from the mastermind herself. The New York-based designer has built her long-standing and successful career in fashion by following her own set of rules. Infamous for her glorification of all things embellished and over-the-top, Betsey has been ruling the fashion industry with her unique and exuberant designs since the 1960s. Betsey's love for dancing and costumes fueled her creativity and inspiration, which are still manifested in her designs today. She reflects her passions in her original and invariably popular pieces, shedding light on a new era of contemporary innovative fashion. Entice looks your way with the Overnighter in Black Sailor Girl, the Barrel Bag in Black Safari Park and the Small Hobo in Blue Rosey Ruffles. Check out the rest of the collection at Karmaloop.com.

    Influential International Style: Kate Moss

It's no coincidence that Kate Moss is always 2-3 months ahead of the curve. She sets the curve, and designers scramble to put clothes on the market that mimic her eclectic, always surprising style. Moss seems to live by only one key rule of fashion, which is to wear beautiful clothes authentically. She seems to effortlessly throw together outfits that you never think would work. Whether it's layering neutrals over grey skinny jeans and red booties (months before anyone is even wearing black ones!), sporting heavily layered jewelry, or throwing a blazer over anything, Moss keeps visual interest without seeming over-dressed. She always seems comfortable, her clothes look tailored to fit her body, and you most often see her wearing flats. Her lesson to be learned is wear what makes you feel comfortable. Fun fact: Moss is only 5'7", and though very slight, her style can be mixed and matched to flatter many body types! Check out my slideshow for ways to adopt Kate Moss's eclectic style! Seriously Cool Denim Jackets For Dudes

    image
    Dino-Ray Ramos on Nov 18, 2008 6:19 AM PST
From acid wash to banded collars, the denim jacket has gone through some major changes. But the denim jacket in its plain form has remained a timeless piece of clothing in a gentleman's closet, especially for fall. The garment is the epitome of an American classic, having been seen on everyone from Paul Newman to Mikey (Sean Astin) in The Goonies. It's also versatile-- a dark denim jacket can be gussied up with a tie and slacks, while a worn-in and washed jacket goes perfectly with a T-shirt and khakis. Then there comes the whole debate on whether a denim jacket should be cut from the same cloth as your jeans. The answer to that is up to your discretion, but when you look matchy-matchy, it can be a bit overwhelming. I suggest that you contrast denims with optimistic caution. Whatever you choose, there is a buffet of denim jackets that come in different shapes and shades. From the classic (Levi's Trucker Jacket) to the colorful (Filippa K's crimson jacket) to the more modern-chic (Y-3's onyx zip jacket), there is a denim jacket for everyone. Check out the slideshow below.
