As the elms along the Minneapolis boulevards have faded into the sunset--maples, lindens, ash, oaks and the occasional ginkgo have replaced the uniform elm archways for an interesting smorgasbord of falling leaves. Here's a ginkgo leaf I found in my neighborhood in South Minneapolis. I cut the design of the leaf from the side of one of those little frontera merlot--fun-size--wine bottles from Chile (perhaps you've heard of it?)--copper foiled the pieces and soldered them together with a lead free solder.
