    image
Kristin on Dec 31, 2008 9:16 AM PST
Are you gearing up for a big night for NYE? No matter how much you hydrate today, you may well be in for a little headache tomorrow morning. That being said, take in these tips and make your New Year's Day a little more pleasant. Some people are fans of the whole "hair of the dog" method, and if that's you, make some mimosas or mix up a Bloody Mary and keep the celebration going! If you just feel like putting back some nutrients in your body, go out for a fabulous brunch and down some Vitamin Water Revive or Emergen-C. A pampering spa treatment could also be just what you need to start the year off fresh. If nothing else, concealer and a giant pair of sunglasses never fail! Check out the SLIDESHOW, and have a wonderful night!

Holiday Entertaining Tips From Home Designer Kim Seybert

    image
Pauline Montupet on Nov 26, 2008 8:21 AM PST
Between Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve, the holidays are packed with reasons to have a party. Stressed about what your going to do and how your going to get it done? Kim Seybert, entertaining expert and designer of chic tableware accessories is here to help. She gave me the scoop on her top 5 holiday entertaining tips to share with the Hive!

Make sure you enjoy your own dinner party. For Thanksgiving or Christmas this means hiring some help or enlisting a family member or two to help with the set up. Make sure to prepare as much of your menu in advance as well setting your table the night before. You don't want to be stuck in the kitchen instead of spending time with your guests. Since there is usually so much food on the table for the Thanksgiving or Christmas meal, keep your centerpieces (flowers, candles, etc) simple. Want to get more expert tips from Kim? Summer Style: 5-Minute Make-Up Must Haves!

    image
Bridget Kagan on Aug 13, 2008 11:50 AM PDT
I have friends who never wear make-up because it "takes too long." People so often think that if you wear make-up, you've got to go all out. The truth is, five minutes in front of the mirror can make a huge difference. You don't have to do the full-on face every time you go out (in fact, you shouldn't). But a little mascara and bronzer can make a HUGE difference. Click READ MORE to check out my favorite 5 minute makeup must haves, including where you can find them and more importantly, how to apply them to your look!

Ilana Albert on May 13, 2008 8:16 AM PDT
Paris Hilton swears that she€™s done with high-priced hair extensions, which is why she's bringing her latest branding effort €“ Clipin-Go by Paris Hilton €“ to the masses (or at least those of us who live near a Sally Beauty Supply store). The line of modacrylic hair extensions comes in 10 natural looking shades, which will set you back a mere $79.99. Whether or not you think Paris is a beauty icon, you can€™t deny she knows a thing or two about always looking camera-ready. Paris spilled to Stylehive all about her new line, and shared some other get-gorgeous tips. Click READ MORE for our exclusive Q&A with the hair-care heiress.

Behind the Mask: Another Step in the Journey to Beautiful Skin

    image
Rebecca SA on Feb 16, 2008 7:16 AM PST
Some of you are lucky ducks and have super-low maintenance skin. You just wash with a bar of Ivory soap once a day and call it done €“ and still manage to look like Anne Hathaway just the same. Blech! Others, like myself, are constantly fighting an uphill battle to try to keep our skin tame and glowing. So this post is about a little experiment I did involving face masks. I wasn€™t using one but I felt like I needed to, so I picked one up slathered it on and now I am going to tell you all about it. Face masks can actually be sort of fun! Okay, maybe not the actual mask (unless you are using the Bioré self-warming mask, now those are neat) but what€™s fun is what you can do in one. A hot bath is fab while masking, the heat makes it seep oh-so-deep for an oh-so-clean result. Yummy! Then you can go the slumber party route and slap one on while your BFFs are over and scare people when they come to the door. Whatever the case, have fun because a mask is actually really relaxing.

Dear Stylediary, Can I Still Wear Skinny Jeans?

    image
    Chris K. on Jan 24, 2008 5:46 PM PST
A few months ago I interviewed Fidelity Denim designer Jason Trotzuk, and he told me some most distressing news. Jason said that skinny jeans had one season left, maybe, which means they are out right about ... NOW. This enraged me, as you'll see in the video, as I own several pairs and count on them to make my 5' 5" frame look more like 5' 8". (Tom Cruise knows what I'm talking about.) You may have similar concerns, but never fear, our West Coast editor Patricia Handschiegel has some tips on how to keep those skinnies and stay in fashion. Click over to our sister site StyleDiary to find out how!
