In the world of reality television, full-figured fashion designers are all but ignored. Lifetime's "Project Runway" season six contestant Qristyl Frazier is determined to change that. The 42-year-old St. Louis, Missouri, native broke ground as the first plus-size designer to be featured on "Project Runway," but that's only the beginning. The "Plus-Sexy" reality star, whom Tim Gunn calls "a hoot," spoke with ESSENCE.com about her plans to revitalize full-figured fashion and design for Oprah -- and reveals how not even Michael Kors can get in her way. Head over to the Essence blog for the full interview!

Thank God for books for fashionistas! This way, when you are at dinner parties and someone asks, "Read any good books lately?" You can go on and on about the Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent rivalry in Alicia Drake's The Beautiful Fall, or give style pointers from Tim Gunn's A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style. Or if you want go for something a little more light-hearted and fluffy, go for the fabulous literary piece of shameless self-promotion, That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between by Victoria Beckham. You can also show off your worldliness by talking shop about Harajuku style, referencing Style Deficit Disorder (I love that title). Whatever you choose, a fashion-centric book is always a good accessory to have that will not only make you look stylish, but smart as well. Because fashion isn't all about being catty and shallow €“ it's about being well read too. Check out these books that will make your bookshelf a little more fashionable in the slideshow, and for more gifts for your fashionista friends, check out my fashionable film recommendations!

Kenley was in an interesting position going into the finale- the judges had lauded her workmanship and talent in the previous challenge, but questioned the originality of her work given its uncanny similarity to that of more established designers. True to herself, Kenley presented a collection at Bryant Park that was unapologetically her own, yet once again the judges were torn- the concept and the painting were beautiful, but one garment's resemblance to a Balenciaga look was too much to ignore. How much this played into her elimination is hard to say, but in the end she was the first to be sent home. I spoke to Kenley about her thoughts on the judges' critiques and her relationship with the other designers. Read on to see what she had to say!

Most of us cannot even imagine what it must be like to be in the final two, knowing full well that one person is about to realize her dream while the other will have fallen short. It's just the scenario that played out on last night's Project Runway finale, where the last five minutes saw Leanne and Korto waiting to hear Heidi say just one name. Korto's disappointment was palpable as her face fell at the announcement- it couldn't have been more of a departure from the elation she exhibited during the runway show. I spoke to Korto about her reaction, her thoughts on Leanne's work, and her future plans. Read on to find out what she had to say, and click the SLIDESHOW to see her collection on the runway at Bryant Park.

Leanne Wins Project Runway! Catch Our Exclusive Interview!

Last night season five of Project Runway came to a close, and between the excitement, exhaustion, and emotions that came with showing at Bryant Park, it was truly anyone's game. Tim told the remaining designers they'd need to edit their collections down to 10 pieces each, and so the process began. Kenley struggled with how she would use the "McQueen" gown from before, as Korto opted to create two entirely new pieces, no longer feeling entirely confident about her wedding dress. Meanwhile, Leanne got to work finishing up her collection.
Showtime! The big day finally arrived and the designers put the final touches on their looks and models before showing off months and months of hard work to their families, friends, and the world. Then, a change of plans- the guest judge backed out last minute, and Tim Gunn was called to fill in! Would his behind-the-scenes knowledge of the designers' work and their plans influence his judging? No time to wonder- the show was set to begin. It all went smoothly and each designer truly embraced the moment- who could forget Korto taking her daughter along for her walk? But then things calmed down as Kenley, Korto, and Leanne were called before the judges, who praised each of their collections as quintessentially their own. Kenley was the first to be sent home, and the silence was deafening as Korto and Leanne stood there waiting to hear the one name that would change their lives and careers forever. Finally, Leanne was named the winner. I had the chance to speak with her about her reaction, her thoughts on the other designers, and her plans. Read on to see what she had to say!

Hive Q&A: Latest Project Runway Bootee Sees Bigger Picture, ...

Well, no shortage of surprises here- after last week's Project Runway episode which left all of the designers going home to design collections in spite of Jerell's win, the remaining four set to work on their 10 piece collections- which needed to include a coordinating wedding dress- though only three designers would actually compete at Bryant Park. With two months and $8,000 to spend, it was clear they'd have to really go the distance, and go they did- Korto headed home to Little Rock, Leanne set up her workspace back in Portland, Jerell found himself back in LA, and Kenley got to work back in Brooklyn. Tim visited each of the designers, lending advice while gaining insight into their lives off the show, but the relative calm was nowhere to be found as the designers returned to New York and yet another addition to the challenge was revealed merely six days before their collections were to be finished- they'd each have to design an accompanying bridesmaid's dress. Exhaustion and emotions took hold as the final four put the finishing touches on their work, and soon it was all in the judges' hands. Two designers were told right off the bat that were still in, in spite of one particular dress that deemed a bit too reminiscent of an Alexander McQueen gown, and as for the other two, it just wasn't as clear who would stay and who would go. Read on for my exclusive interview and find out who ended up going home.
