Simply Divine: Tiffany Vine Sapphire and Diamond Bracelet

    image
Ida Hsiang on Sep 9, 2009 7:22 AM PDT
Tiffany celebrates nature's patterns of intricate beauty with tender vines of 355 round and marquise diamonds that form a winding path through 441 perfectly matched sapphires. In fact, the exquisite stones began their journey long before, at the stonecutter's bench. In a feat of skill and precision, Tiffany stonecutters painstakingly cut each diamond that was then bead set in platinum, and hand carved each sapphire to fit the complex channel setting. The result captures the graceful movement of vines blooming against a midnight sky. $195,000 (ouch!) at Tiffany & Co. Say "so long!" to the quintessential heart pendants and sterling silver dog tags and unlock your own personal style with Tiffany & Co's new Keys Collection. The imaginative array of vintage key pendants were inspired by those from the Tiffany Archives and have been reworked from their original uses as keepsake box openers and diary keepers (who knows what secrets they once held!) and updated with a modern wearable chicness. From sterling silver and yellow and white gold to platinum and diamond-encrusted, the design possibilities are plentiful and it's difficult not to find something that fits with just about anyone's personal style among the variety of floral-inspired, medallion-like, heart-shaped, and classic-looking charms. Already spotted on the likes of Jessica Biel, it seems like these fanciful keys are sure to be a hot trend while still maintaining an air of uniqueness and mystery with so many styles to choose from. Check Tiffany.com for their imminent online release!

Hot In The Hive: The Tiffany & Co. Jean Schlumberger Enamel ...

Have you ever munched on a danish in front of 727 Fifth Avenue in New York City a la Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's or peeked in the store windows looking for that perfect piece of jewelry? There's a lot of wishing and hoping to be had, but there's nothing quite like the feeling of unwrapping a robin's egg blue box from Tiffany & Co. From their classic sterling silver pieces to stunning diamond engagement rings, Tiffany's has always set the standards for fine jewelry. This red enamel bracelet designed by Jean Schlumberger, (whose client base included Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy, and of course, Audrey Hepburn) is perfect whether you're 20 or 80! I know the price is a little steep- since nearly $30,000 can get you a pretty nice car or a year's worth of rent in New York City- so take a look at another Tiffany classic. A Frank Gehry heart pendant in sterling silver and 18k gold is literally a fraction of the price of the bracelet. So get started on dropping those Valentine's Day gift hints to your beau! Or get it for yourself, because you totally deserve it.

    Price: $27,000

Diamonds For Valentine's Day, And Every Occasion

As the adage goes, diamonds are a girl's best friend. As far as Valentine's Day gifts go, flowers wilt and chocolate inevitably goes from lips to hips pretty quickly. And a diamond (or diamonds as the case may be!) doesn't have to been a huge investment, or a lifetime commitment. For men shopping for your wife, girlfriend, sweetheart, secret office crush...there's something for everybody out there, and if you're the slightest bit unsure, Dior's ''Oui' diamond ring makes the perfect statement. For girls, we all know it doesn't hurt to steer those men in the right direction, or we can shop for our friends, mothers, sisters, and of course, ourselves. From simple earrings to ornate necklaces all the way to engagement rings, with diamonds in every size and shape, a little bit of sparkle might just be the perfect gift.

Ring in the New Year With A Radiant Vintage Ring!

I know it's only the second day of Christmas, but really, is there anyone out there who wants to receive two turtle doves? I say cut to the chase and get to the real goodies- those five golden rings! Of course, when The Twelve Days of Christmas first appeared as a children's book back in the 1780s, the famous "five golden rings" are rumored to have had nothing to do with jewelry. (Some say they represented the gold rings on a pheasant's neck.) In any case, it didn't take long for men to figure out that women were way more interested in the 14-carat kind of gold wrapped in beautiful packages. In today's economic climate, however, five golden rings does seem a bit excessive, so I'll be happy to settle for just one of these fabulous finds.
