Between Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve, the holidays are packed with reasons to have a party. Stressed about what your going to do and how your going to get it done? Kim Seybert, entertaining expert and designer of chic tableware accessories is here to help. She gave me the scoop on her top 5 holiday entertaining tips to share with the Hive!

Make sure you enjoy your own dinner party. For Thanksgiving or Christmas this means hiring some help or enlisting a family member or two to help with the set up. Make sure to prepare as much of your menu in advance as well setting your table the night before. You don't want to be stuck in the kitchen instead of spending time with your guests. Since there is usually so much food on the table for the Thanksgiving or Christmas meal, keep your centerpieces (flowers, candles, etc) simple. Want to get more expert tips from Kim? Thanksgiving is all about family and friends and sharing good times and food. What better way to do it than with whimsical and modern tableware from your favorite independent artists? We've collected a few of our favorites that are sure to be great conversation starters and they will bring fun memories for many years to come. You will love Selda's series of children's plates, including the adorable Minna. And Soule's "Red Trees" are simply beautiful. Bailey Doesn't Bark's Ants On My Cup and Saucer will bring a laugh to even the grouchiest of relatives. And if you want your table to be eco-friendly, try glasses by Bottle Bottoms or serving dishes made from recycled bottles by Etsy seller Bottle. But the ones that are sure to cause the most uproar are Joana Meroz's Bra Cups. While this is not your ordinary holiday tableware, we are sure you will enjoy the slideshow!

The impending holiday season brings about cheerful emotions, but also a lot of stress from planning your Thanksgiving feast to what to buy for the in-laws. Add traveling to the mix and things could get even more stressful! With the strict TSA rules for carry-on liquids, you may think you'll have to go without your favorite toiletries. Not to worry! Many companies make travel sized versions of their products so you can travel happy. Buying travel sized items is also a great way to try new products without the long term commitment or full sized prices! Take your favorite scent with you without spilling all over your clothes with this Marc Jacobs Daisy solid perfume, or save much needed space with this travel shower kit from Burt's Bees. When traveling by plane, just remember 3-1-1-- that means 3 ounce bottles or less in 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic zip-top bag, and 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin! Take a look at my SLIDESHOW for more TSA-compliant items that will have you breezing through the security check points!
