Hot Or Not: The Christian Louboutin "Madame" Tall Boot

Christian Louboutin's mesh "Madame" tall boots make me think twice about how much I really need a pair of Louboutins in my closet, which, to be honest, never happens. The shape of the shaft and the height of the heel are more than ok, but the see through material renders them a little cheap -- like they're really made for "Madames" prowling the streets, if you will. And they're mesh and see through. How functional of a pair of boots can they be if they don't offer any kind of coverage? Plus, with such a hefty price tag, one has to wonder, what exactly are they made of? At over $1300 per pair, I'm expecting to see "unicorn" or "phoenix" listed on the label under materials. I could be totally wrong though, and perhaps with the right outfit and accessories, these boots have some serious style potential. What do you think? As popular as cut-out booties are nowadays, I have to say they're getting a little redundant. After all, there are only so many places you can strategically cut holes in a leather shoe before they start to look like sandals... and let's face it -- in these exponentially declining temperatures, there's hardly any room left in your closet more sandals, of all things. Show some skin (or skin-colored tights) through the peekaboo cut-outs or have a little fun with the design by wearing brightly-colored leggings underneath -- or even sparkly tights for a sneak peek of shimmer.
