Get Physical In Fall's Gym-Inspired Looks

You don't have to run marathons or have a relationship with the Stairmaster to appreciate fall's athletic-inspired looks. Just look at Isabel Marant's fall '09 runway, where sweatshirt tees go from gym to glam when paired with layered skirts and embellished ankle boots. Alexander Wang has been taking sweatpants out of the gym for a few seasons now, and given their slouchy, not sloppy cut, they could almost pass as dress pants if worn with heels and a blazer- just don't tell your boss you slept in them the night before. On a budget? American Eagle and Free People can hook you up without the pricey membership. The key is to look for pieces with unexpectedly luxe touches (like cashmere or sequins), or pair casual ones with something more polished- in other words, leave the sneakers at home. CollegeCandy Wishlist: Denim, Or Sweats?

When it comes to many things in life, including fashion, I'm a fan of odd, quirky things that leave people asking questions. No, I'm not going to start wearing fairy wings like one of the girls on What Not To Wear, but I did pick up a pair of pants last week that totally fit the bill. They were a pair of skinny denim-like pants by Fragile that I scored at T.J. Maxx for $17, but normally retail for $29 (sweet!) at Hot Topic, a store I haven't stepped into since my friend's goth days in high school. Anyway, the pants look like jeans, but function somewhat like sweatpants in that you basically pull them on and button the single button at the top. I would say that they are comparable to denim leggings, although I prefer these Fragile pants since they look more like jeans and aren't as skintight. These pants are definitely the answer to every college girl's fashion dilemma: chic sweatpants? That you can wear to class? And not look sloppy? I think it's time we all made a run to Hot Topic! Stylehive's Stylescopes Encourage You To Raid Your ...

Okay, so it's pretty apparent that the "boyfriend"-inspired trend doesn't actually look like it came from your man's closet, but you gotta admit that it's a pretty cute concept given the comfy, slightly oversized fits that are still flattering to your feminine physique. And the best part about the misnomer? You don't actually need your own ball-and-chain to cop the looks. So whether you're single or attached, the stars say you're destined to rock the boyfriend look this week, be it a blazer, a pair of shorts, or even a zip-up hoodie that fits slightly better than the one your dude left at your place. Libras can keep it casual or even go pro in a boyfriend jacket and Sagittarius ladies will stay comfy-cool in some denim shorts, for example. Just be careful not to wear too many oversized items at once -- you don't want to look like you raided your dad's closet instead! Check the slideshow to see the week's pick for your sign!
