Whether as cubes, as powder or as icing: sugar is omnipresent in a variety of guises. Its most authentic shape, however, remains the sugar loaf, a result of the procedures used in the past to produce it: the Persians used to fill hot sugar-cane juice into cone-shaped wooden vessels. An opening in the apex allowed the substances containing no sugar to escape from the crystallizing sugar mass. The result was a sugar loaf which in the end also gave its name to the legendary mountain at the Ipanema and which came to epitomize sweet life.
These authentic form have marked the new collection by Ritzenhoff as you can see at a glance and with the name Ipanema, a well-known beach in Brazil, it is also a homage to the legendary mountain and the sweet life of Latin America.
