It's fun creating different outfits at Looklet, a brand new styling studio where you can combine every piece in the fashion collection to mix, match and create your personal looks. All clothes are real, selected by stylists, from real designers. The site is based in Stockholm so you'll find Swedish designers like Ann-Sofie Back and brands like H&M. I've only created two looks so far. Have you tried it out yet? (If not, watch out -- you might end up spending the whole day on it!) Click over to the ShopDiary blog to see what they've created, and share your own looks!

8 Steps To Salon-Worthy Straight Hair: First Tell Your Old ...

    image
Alex Gambardella on Mar 23, 2009 7:21 AM PDT
Unfortunately for me, I'm not the kind of girl who has ever had the luxury (or the guts) to just waltz out of the house with damp, freshly-showered hair, knowing that it will just dry "au natural" and magically fall into place in an hour or two. Since my natural coif is most accurately described as "frizz ball," "rat's nest," or "bushwoman" (and I just don't have the nerve to rock any of those looks in public), I've been around the block with my share of flat irons. As a result, I've perfected the act of at-home hair-straightening to an efficient art, free of arm cramps and follicle-frying woes that many less-experienced tress flatteners tend to suffer from. While I don't condone punishing your unruly locks by attacking them with a flat iron every day, as heat overload will just cause your mane to misbehave even more, straight hair doesn't have to be a chore saved only for special occasions, and it doesn't have to take hours out of your day! Click READ MORE for eight simple steps to you can use to achieve a stress-free straight mane!

Your Style: Taking Magazine Looks Into the Everyday

It€™s one thing to read magazines, and another to take what€™s in them and make it wearable for the street. The outfits in Vogue and People might look slick and sophisticated on paper, but getting in and out of a car or or trying to head to class in them is a whole other story. Luckily there are a few hipsters out there who know how to take an editorial look and bring it down to street level. That€™s what stopped me in my tracks when I first saw Stylediarist Missinterpret. Ten great looks that could be right out of Lucky, with everyday wearability. Here€™s a SLIDESHOW of my favorites!

Five Favorite Cool Finds: Bright Shoes, Bright Bags

There is just something inherently cool about bright colors. I mean, think about it. They€™ve been the key player in countless of country€™s flags, have adorned queens and kings of hundreds of nations, and has made candy look so incredibly enticing to millions of little kids for decades. Standalone, bold colors direct traffic (red, yellow, green) and warn us of danger (orange). Put together, and well, you have just about every since poster and piece of art from the 1960s and 70s. Just the mere thought of purple, red, green, blue, yellow, orange, and bright pink makes me happy. It makes sense, then, to pay homage with five of my favorite Cool Finds from Stylediarists!

London Stylediarist Gives Me Closet Envy

Have you ever had one of those friends who has everything cool at her house, to where visiting it is almost as exciting as visiting her? Growing up, my grade school best friend Joy had all the best dollhouse stuff - the cars, the dream houses, all the clothes. I mean, forget going to see her. You get in it for Barbie. Later on, it was Tina with her giant basement bedroom with all the hipster rocker posters and music around, or Sasha, whose designer shoe parade almost always beats out mine. The thing is, you don€™t mind because you get to play with it all and since it isn€™t yours, it always feels fresh everytime. That€™s the way it€™s going to be as you view London Stylediarist Destinyvision€™s look book. Christian Louboutin, Miu Miu, Prada€¦. Uh huh, get jealous!

StyleDiary Editor's 10 Favorite Outfits of The Month!

I won€™t lie. I created Stylediary.net three years ago in part because I love shopping and clothes. As a little girl, I clamored after my parents for cowboy boots in kindergarten, felt hipster in my coordinated outfits during middle school and lusted endlessly over my friend€™s frog print bathing suit in the second grade. By the time I was in junior high, I was a regular shopper and fashionista. I mean, I wore a fedora for my eighth grade class photo. I€™m deadly serious. Fashion and I have been dating for decades. I won€™t go back that far, but here€™s a look at my favorite outfits this past month.
