Fact: West coast editor Patricia Handschiegel can pull an outfit together faster than we can say “Stylediary.” Also a fact: A Valentine’s Day date can throw off anyone’s ability to put together a winning outfit, style skill level aside. So it’s no surprise that this week’s question is about how to look fab for a date on February 14th! As if finding an outfit for a “normal” date isn’t difficult enough, along with Valentine’s Day comes the pressure of pink, red, and Hallmark, all of which combine for one sweet but stressful occasion. Then there’s the fact that the stores only tell us what we should be wearing after the date, but we’d like a few more ideas than that! Click on over to Stylediary and see what Patricia has to say!

Influential International Style: Charlotte Casiraghi

If there was one icon I could choose to dress exactly like, Princess Charlotte Casiraghi would be it. The girl has it going on - royal pedigree, killer style, and hey, she's an editor-in-chief of Above magazine. Her style can be described as classically tailored, yet with a flair for rock and roll details. Whether she's rocking skinny jeans and boots, and a gorgeous scarf, or making a public appearance in a fabulous black dress with lace detailing, she can make any outfit look spectacular. Having a busy day? Channel Charlotte and pick up your hair in a messy bun, and wrap a scarf like crazy around your neck over a simple t-shirt. Voila! You have a fabulous outfit... and didn't even have to wash your hair. Check out my slideshow for some style tips from the royal herself! Photo credit: PR Photos

Sometimes, when you see a girl with seemingly effortless style that you know you would look ridiculous in, even if you were wearing literally the exact same clothes, it can make you jealous. Okay, maybe that's just me. But in the case of British model/television host Alexa Chung, it just makes you want to be her slightly less cool friend. Having modeled for the likes of Urban Outfitters, Antipodium and Vivienne Westwood, it figures that her style boasts eclectic choices as well as informed classics. Think mixing white t-shirts with fancy shorts and a simple tote bag, pairing it with messy hair and actually not looking insane. She takes experimental choices on red carpets, always, always dresses for her own body, and always looks comfortable in her own skin. Check out my slideshow for ways you can mimic the lovely Alexa Chung's style and maybe someone will want to be your slightly less cool friend!
