    Comfy And Non-Embarrassing Back-To-School Sleepwear

    image

As you're checking off your back-to-school to-do list, make sure you factor in the college student's favorite pastime: sleeping. Whether you live in a res hall or are off-campus with roommates, it's important to have some cute and comfy PJs to toss on. Why?

    1. Lots of people are going to be seeing these things (and I'm not talking about the people you bring home), so it's time to toss out the ratty high school t-shirts and invest in something cute.
    2. Lots of people are going to see you, so if you tend to sleep in the buff I'm pretty sure your roomie would much prefer to see you in some jammies than see your naked butt. Factor in the unexpected fire alarms and possible friends barging in at all hours of the night, and you're going to want to have something to toss on even if you have a room to yourself.

Lucky for all of us, there are tons of options when it comes to cute and cozy PJs. No matter how much or how little you've slept in previously, there's something (or lots of somethings for those 6-week runs between laundry days) super adorable for you. And if you feel like channeling your inner Holly Golightly while your roommate studies 10 feet from your face, there's a mask for you, too. Check out CollegeCandy for some of their school sleepwear picks!

Congratulations! The high school crap is finally over-- and it's bittersweet. .There's a parting of ways for a lot of you, an uncertainty about what you're getting yourself into after a routine or home-style living, and definitely a sense of relief that you won't have to carry around a hall pass again. Hats off to you, though, as we commemorate your maturity in personality and knowledge! These accomplishments certainly shouldn't go without notice. A graduation gift should be something that inspires. Sure, any big electronic is going to be appreciated by the 'rents, but a gift that goes past the expected can give the giftee a hopeful wish for the future. Something to help them pursue their dreams, or even just remind them of what a special gem they are in this big world are a great way to show your loved ones how proud of them you are. As for those of you who've just tossed your high school hats, these gifts are great for holding on to the memories you already cherish, as well as help you make more memories to last you the rest of your lives!

Stylediary Spotlight: Milly Just Wears What Feels Right!

In fashion, being comfortable is not always the objective. And many of us end up following trends despite knowing that not everything that happens in fashion suits us. Stylediarist Milly maintains her style sensibility while simultaneously managing not to fall into the fashion grind. Her style philosophy is to wear things that make her feel and look good. Feeling comfortable in your clothing boosts confidence and allows you to flourish, and this Melbourne science student is doing just that. Without molding herself to any particular style, she manages to pull off whatever she puts on. Whether it's vintage, business casual, or easy going, she wears each look - they don't wear her. Check out my SLIDESHOW to see how I narrowed down her diary to the best of her best, and make sure to check out Milly's Stylediary for yourself!

Stylehiver Spotlight: She Loves Cranberry Red and 1930's Glam

Meet Stylehiver cpc. She's a mom, a wife, a fashion design student who hopes to have her own line of knitwear someday, and her favorite color to wear is cranberry red. She is also an active Hiver with an impressive eye for beautifully created designs. Some of her style weaknesses? Structured coats, short dresses, bold silver jewelry, and anything with a splash of 1930's glamour. Her Hive is packed with an eclectic mixture of styles ranging from Elie Saab couture to diamond encrusted skull pendants. But out of all of cpc's fashion finds, I was most impressed with the collection of military coats and early 1900's-inspired dresses that I discovered in her Hive. So be sure to check out cpc's artsy-eclectic style - and also check out my Slideshow of some of my fave vintage-inspired dresses and military jackets straight from her Hive!
