Phoenicia Association Brings Art And Style To Phoenix

There's a new kid on the block in Phoenix! Phoenicia Association, a well-cultivated men's store and gallery space, opened earlier this month. Inside the seemingly abandoned brick building holds some of coolest, hard to find duds in the area. Started by friends Jeff Mann and Kyle Simone (both avid street fashion connoisseurs and patrons of the arts) were looking to cultivate a new way of thinking about and looking at art and design in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The shop is split into two sections: one that sells hard to find men's clothing labels April77, Wrath Arcane, Hixsept, and 3Sixteen, and the other that houses a gallery with monthly rotating artists. If you're in the area, make sure not to miss the opening parties for the new gallery shows that feature local artists, musicians and DJs! Check them out at www.wearephoenicia.com.

Shop For Cute Basics By Celeb Favorite Rebel Yell At ...

Tired of trying to look effortlessly cute all the time? Well I am. One of my favorite brands, Rebel Yell, has come to the rescue, making my wardrobe playful, comfortable and all things vintage. Getting ready for the much-anticipated spring season, the Rebel Yell collection, which is now at Karmaloop.com, remedies all of my fashion problems. The collection offers the basics: T-shirts, button-downs, raglans, hoodies and other clothes that are meticulously structured for optimal comfort and style. Conceived in February 2005 by Daniel and Andi Ballard, the label is heavily inspired by nostalgic childhood memories growing up in Virginia. Andi, the brand€™s designer, explains, €œit€™s a name inspired by the rowdy all-American lifestyle we grew up in. I want Rebel Yell to be super-fresh and easy to wear. The kind of clothing that doesn€™t overpower you, but still makes you look damn good. I obsess about the fit and design details, and refuse to put out a product that Daniel and I wouldn€™t want to wear." The brand reflects the styles that the creators grew up with: relaxed, fresh and classic. Rebel Yell€™s future is looking very promising, as it continues to attract both men and women everywhere, as well as celebrities like Reese Witherspoon, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, and many others. Keep your style at ease with my top three picks: the three quarter sleeve colorblock tuni hoody, the yes, no tee and the skinny pant.

With the dreaded cold approaching, comes the much anticipated arrival of to-die-for wnter fashion. This winter, my favorite trend is double-breasted pea coats with striking collars and neck lines. BB Dakota, Obey and Spiewak are my top choices in coats and jackets from Karmaloop. All three brands feature stylish outerwear that have additional eye-catching elements such as large brass buttons and studs, fur-lined hoods, and toggle button details. And what coat or jacket would look crisp and chic without a fresh pair of skinny denim jeans by Tripp NYC? Shopping Alert! Get Married To The Mob's Edgy Holiday ...

"Men are the new women" was the tagline for Married to the Mob designer Leah McSweeney€™s Summer '08 collection. It's pun-intended catch phrases like this one and the infamous "Supreme Bitch," a play on the men€™s streetwear label Supreme, that spark much controversy amongst the fellas in the T-shirt game. Always one to challenge the status quo, Leah says she definitely designs "for girls who are not afraid to speak their mind. I think girls are always taught throughout life to act a certain way and please other people, and I think you should be pleasing yourself." Talk about girl power! Read on to find out more about what you can expect from the line, and for a taste of the holiday collection lookbook, check out the slideshow!
