Kris Vs. Adam: Which American Idol Finalist Dresses Like A ...

After weeks of country-wide auditions (both impressive and depressing), loads of judge tension and quarreling, months of neck-to-neck competitive performances, a whole dictionary's worth of nonsensical new "Paula-isms," and style makeovers galore, it's crazy to think that it all comes down to just one night of singing their hearts out and a few billion text message votes. One of the finalists is about to have his life changed forever (as if that hasn't already happened to both of them already... or as if actually being crowed the "winner" really seals one's fate -- just ask Taylor Hicks). On one end, we have the guy-next-door acoustic Guitar Hero, Kris Allen, and on the other, a bad-ass Broadway-gone-rebel rocker Adam Lambert -- an unlikely duo who have just about as much in common as night and day. And aside from their vastly divergent musical tastes and sounds, their Glam Squad makeovers on the show's later rounds have them exhibiting their contrasting vibes not only in their musical stylings, but in their distinctly different fashion sense as well. Kris Allen's casual button-down shirts and blazers pair perfectly with his pared down acoustic accompaniments and raw yet soulful voice, while Adam Lambert's flashing lights and illuminating staircase entrances just wouldn't be complete without an equally dramatic rockstar look. We know this isn't "Fashion Idol," but hey -- how many times have you heard Simon snarl, "I absolutely loathe what you're wearing"? Face it -- posh performance ensembles are vital, whether or not it's really about the singing, so check out the slideshow for a week-by-week comparison of the last two standing, then vote below on whose performance outfits outdid his competitor's! Feel Pretty Like Maria With Looks Inspired By West Side ...

Everything that€™s old is new again! West Side Story has gone from Broadway to the big screen and now back onstage in 2009. The epic love story set in the 1950s takes us through the journey of two star-crossed lovers, Tony and Maria. They find themselves caught between two rival street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds, the Jets and the Sharks. Get ready for the big revival by getting the ladylike retro looks with a little bit of "cha cha" flair. While you can go the vintage route and get some petticoats and vintage cocktail dresses, there are also plenty of contemporary options that will meld seamlessly with your current wardrobe. Candy colors, nipped-in waists and ruffles help you get a little Latina spring in your step. Try a swingy knee-length dress with a pretty bow clutch and some colorful bangles for a totally Maria-esque look. Scared to go all out? When worn with jeans, a ruffled blouse topped with a colorful cardigan all cinched by a modern belt is a great way to dabble in the look. Still too much? Pair a flared full skirt in a bright color with a simple white tank. Check out the slideshow for some caliente picks and see the musical starting March 19th at the Palace Theatre in NYC!
