If you're anything like me, you're eagerly awaiting the day when "athletic chic" doesn't automatically translate into a tank top and Juicy track pants, or worse, Gucci sneakers. Shudder. Well, fellow fitness-inspired fashion seekers, relief has come, and its name is Yitan - Thomas Chen Yitan, to be exact. Modern shapes, simple yet sumptuous fabrics, and fresh colors lend a crisp, cool edge to his exceptionally tailored tops, jackets, shorts, and skirts. Editor's Pick: Roksanda Ilincic Redefines Romantic

Roksanda Ilincic's current collection of draped dresses is redefining the notion of the romantic gown. In the past, it seemed as if anything that gracefully sweeped the floor was automatically given that title. Ilincic, with her signature splashes of color, sometimes hidden and sometimes not, has without a doubt raised the bar on romantic dressing. Playful pieces of yellow silk add an element of surprise as unexpected contrasts and patterns adorn otherwise classic shapes, epitomizing the essence of true romance.

The Serbian-born designer debuted her first collection merely five years after graduating from Central St. Martins in 2000. Since then her exquisite yet dynamic style has garnered acclaim from celebrities including Thandie Newton, Cate Blanchett, and Kate Hudson, and while Ilincic insists she does not have a muse, it is clear that the embodiment of elegance, charm, and talent cannot be too far off.

Out With The Red, In With The Pink!

Spring's strong lip isn't a quintessential shade of red. It's a sweet shade of pink.

And just about any pink fits the bill. Cotton candy, ripe raspberry, pink zinfandel, lush bouganvillea or frosted fuschia.

Pink is one of those glorious colors that boasts a broad range of tones and saturation, so there is truly something for everyone. Given this, there is simply no excuse for not giving pink lips a chance this Spring... which is right now!

Combine a careful study of structure, a hint of vintage, and some equestrian flair, and you have the inspiration behind the latest reason to be counting down to warm spring weather: HARLAN BEL. Parsons School of Design graduate Brandy Lunsford developed the line after gaining experience styling and designing for Ralph Lauren. She introduced her first collection in the fall of 2007 and has never looked back, except of course to draw upon her ever present love for unexpected vintage appeal. Leaving behind the typical frills and lace that so many are quick to characterize as vintage today, Lunsford instead adopts the simple shapes and infuses them with powerful modernity for a look that is approachable yet avant-garde.

This Spring You'll Be Wearing a New Color: Croissant?

While bright hues are certainly welcome come spring, muted, neutral tones have emerged richer than ever and can bring an understated yet chic touch to outfits and accessories. The colors on Pantone's Spring 2008 Fashion Color Report are no exception, with 'Croissant' taking its place as one of my favorites. The shade is just as buttery as its name would suggest, so bring some balance to its smoothness with bolder, statement-making pieces in black, gold, or even red, or try adding a patent accent for a little edge. And don't even think about calling it 'tan' or 'beige'! More golden yellow than brown, this creamy, versatile shade is in a class of its own.
