All kinds of mud silk are made using natural mud to put on the greige fabric. One layer of mud are put on the fabric and let it totally dry under the sun, many more layers are then put onto the fabric. Every layer of mud put onto the fabric are put under the sun for at least 1 weeks. After finished all the layers, the fabric need to kept in a special place at least few months. The longer the fabric is kept in the place, the better the finishing. Their procedure is very complicated and can only make in the summer season.
