Video Style Steal: Miley Cyrus Gives "Party In The U.S.A." A ...

Hannah or Miley? Blonde or brunette? Love her or hate her? Such questions often come to mind when the name Miley Cyrus is mentioned... and nowadays, especially with her new album on the rise, that's quite often. And whether or not you enjoy the teen's campy Disney roles, her musical stylings, or her knack for photo scandals, you gotta admit, "Party In The U.S.A." is pretty damn catchy. While the video's swing set settings and Miley's tiny cut-off shorts and leather vest are a little unseasonably summery, I can't help but get in the concert party mood whenever I watch it... and let's face it -- it's never the wrong season for a dusty parking lot dance party! Click "See Video" to watch "Party In The U.S.A." for yourself, then take a look at the slideshow to see how you can cop Miley's cowgirl video ensemble. Photo Credit: MTV.com

New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010: Doo. Ri

Doo. Ri has always been known for soft, fluid fabrics and innovative, but completely wearable designs that showcase modern twists on classically feminine styles. Using a sweetly somber palette of creams, blues and metal grey tones, designer Doo. Ri Chung edged out her designs with tiny chain and mesh overlays. There was a large variety of dresses, skirts and short shorts that featured details such as clever draping, soft, fluttering tiers, origami-inspired pleats and, as the trends have predicted, high hemlines to show off long, tanned legs for the next spring and summer seasons. Doo. Ri presented a collection of sexy and modern dresses and skirts that still manage to be alluringly feminine. See more from Doo. Ri at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week in the slideshow!

New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010: Anna Sui

Anna Sui has definitely kept herself busy this season, between her much anticipated Gossip Girl-themed Target collaboration and the stunningly rich circus-themed Spring 2010 collection she debuted just days ago at New York Fashion Week. Preppy separates like cable knit sweaters, pleated skirts, and coordinating jackets were given a playful spin with Peter Pan-collared tops, vividly printed silk shirts, and the most whimsical patchwork jacket imaginable. A steady stream of purple and grey looks gave way to splashes of pink, green, and orange for some eye-brightening variety. Patterns appeared to be haphazardly layered together at first, but with a more careful perusal, the mixing and matching produced an end result that was actually quite seamless- in some cases, it was difficult to see where one piece ended and another began! Purely intriguing, I tell you. My favorite look was the printed shorts and tie-neck blue peeking out from a marching band-inspired vest- and who could forget the sequined mask (worn as a headband- kind of brilliant, right?) on the always adorable Sasha Pivovarova? New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010: Rebecca Taylor

Bright colors, edgy metallics and fluid lines seem to be the theme this year at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010, and Rebecca Taylor's collection on day five was one of our favorites, showcasing a variety of sweetly feminine and totally modern takes on this year's current and upcoming trends. Shiny silvers, asymmetrical ruffles and girly floral prints were punctuated with exaggerated silhouettes, giving the runway a flirty look that reminded one of a nautical space-age. Looser fits were contrasted by body-con dresses and legs were all over the place in pouf and pencil minis, tailored shorts and satin sheaths, giving the models a look of cabana-chic. Check out the slideshow to see more Rebecca Taylor favorites from her Spring/ Summer 2010 runway collection!

Lemondrop's Top 12 Things You Should Never Wear to the Office!

    image
Ida Hsiang on Aug 3, 2009 5:18 AM PDT
We all know it can be tricky to judge what constitutes appropriate work attire. (See old episodes of "Ally McBeal" for reference.) We like to use a version of the expensive-meal rule: Just like you can't afford something if you have to ask how much it costs, if you're not sure whether you can pull off a work look, you probably shouldn't risk it. While shiny gold lame leggings might constitute "power dressing" at American Apparel, in general you should steer clear of these office dress-code violations -- especially number one on our list.

    12. Leggings
If you're cold, wear tights. If your dress is too short, put it back in the closet. If you don't feel like wearing pants, well ... tough. Leggings lack the polish and professionalism of standard work slacks or a nice pair of Wolford tights. Toss in the fact that they're generally unflattering (hello, cankles!) and make you look like you're headed to a Jazzercize class, and you're better off calling in sick.

    11. Boobs
OK, we get it. You've got a mind for business and a body for sin. But trying to emphasize the latter in a revealing tube top or strapless dress could backfire. "If you show too much cleavage, people will not take you seriously," says Atlanta-based image consultant Peggy M. Parks of The Parks Image Group. "You always want to bring attention to your face so people will look at your eyes and listen to what your mouth says without being distracted on the way up. You need to dress professionally to show that you are there for business and you mean business."

    10. Shorts
First, ask yourself this: Do I work at Hooters? If the answer is no, step away from the booty shorts and flesh-toned tights. Shorts don't scream "corporate titan." And no, we don't care how hot it is outside. That's why God created air conditioning.
