Cold Feet? Try A Chilly Weather Wedding Wrap!

The last thing you'll want on your wedding day is to be cold, so if you're tying the knot in fall, winter or spring, you may want a nice, warm compliment to your gown. It's true that you'll want to flaunt your lavishly conditioned skin and hot bod that you've been working on during your pre-nuptial planning, so your gown may be missing a few pieces here and there -- probably in vulnerable areas such as the neck, back and shoulders. Depending on how harsh your location will be, someone's thought of something to make the temperature of your big day an afterthought. In lace or feather, there's a shrug, wrap or jacket for any weather. See the slideshow for some of our favorite picks!

Hot In The Hive: The Sir Alistair Rai Green Peace Dupatta Scarf

Fashion is undoubtedly becoming more and more influenced by political and social causes around the world. Look no further than Barack Obama's appearance at Paris Fashion Week for proof. And why not? It can be a great way to express your views and create dialogue without even speaking a word. For something a little different than your standard message t-shirt, wrap up in a scarf like this one by Sir Alistair Rai. Spotted on countless celebrities, they are one-of-a-kind pieces made by hand by artisans in India, and each one is hand-painted with a Hindu prayer and words like "peace," "hope," "love," and "karma." With all the war in the world, why not choose to wear one of these beautiful scarves and support peace in your own little way this winter? You really can't go wrong!

    Price: $128

This Season, Thou 'Shawl' Wear Sweaters

A while back, the shawl neck collar was more common for retirement home residents and winter wonderland lumberjacks who lived in a log cabin and sipped coffee from tin cups and slept on bear skin rugs. Little did we know, they were way ahead of their time. Shawl necks are a hot commodity for both men and women since designers have added a modern magic wand to the classic neckline. From cardigans to hoodies to knitted skulls, the shawl neck is all over the place. Maison Martin Margiela, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren have all made some winter-friendly shawl knits that stay true to the nostalgia, but are sartorially relevant to the 21st century. The rolled neck comes in varying v-neck depths and it not only keeps you warm, but it is chic and it has this mature vibe to it. I don't know what it exactly is, but a shawl neck makes you look wise. And if you stick a pipe in your mouth, you will look like a genius Ivy League professor. My personal favorites are shawl neck cardigans and chunky pullovers, but take a gander at the slideshow to pick out a favorite of your own.
