This St. Patrick's Day, even if your closet isn't loaded with wearable green pieces to choose from, you can still avoid those pesky pinchers by incorporating shades of green into your beauty regime for the day! I realize that for the more demure makeup mavens the idea of wearing Irish pride on your face sounds a bit risky, as green makeup tends to evoke scary images of personas like Poison Ivy and senile old ladies with lime green shadow up to their eyebrows. However, given the many different products and variety of formulas from sheer and shimmery to bright concentrated pigments, not to mention the large spectrum of clover-inspired shades to choose from, it's actually super simple to incorporate green into your makeup routine, no matter how subtle or striking you'd like the look to be. Bolder beauties can slick a sparkly green Sally Hansen lacquer on their nails and even attempt to pull of MAC's green-tinted lipglass (trust me -- it's not as crazy as it sounds)! Or, if lime green really isn't your thing, play up their peepers with a festive version of the smokey eye using dark forest green shadow by Nars in place of charcoal. As long as you don't try to wear all of these products at once, you'll likely find that bright emerald and grassy shades don't have to be tacky. While you probably won't end up stumbling upon a pot of gold this year, you might just be lucky enough to discover a flattering new eye-popping color that's wearable enough to incorporate into your cosmetics for any day of the week! Check out the slideshow for more shamrock-like makeup shades!
