    Growing up, I remember school supply shopping and positively begging my poor mother for folders adorned with Lisa Frank creatures, smiley faces, or other such nonsense. My mom would always shoot me down though, aiming for the classically primary-colored notebooks, folders, and pencils. Now that I'm older, I can see why, but it sure is fun to look at some of these retro-inspired school supplies! How cute would this brass pencil can look on a chic Parsons-style desktop? And I love these librarian-themed notebooks from etsy seller erinzam. And my baby brother who just headed off to college is going to love this Rubik's cube alarm clock.
