Hot In The Hive: Kate Spade Hand In Hand Mittens

If you're having a hard time justifying all the inevitably expensive holiday gift-shopping this year in light of our current economic state, how about opting for a present that truly gives back? Famed accessories brand Kate Spade has recently formed a partnership with Women for Women International known as the Hand In Hand program, which employs war survivors from Bosnia, giving them a chance to get their future back on track. The result? A collection of hand-knit winter accessories, including these Colorblock Mittens, that keep you warm during the dreary weather ahead while the proceeds help women abroad rebuild their lives. If that's not incentive to spread some Christmas joy this season despite your dismal paycheck, I don't know what is!

    Price: $95
Who Found It: xgalexy was the first to add the Hand In Hand Mittens to the Hive.

Find Endless Style In An Infinity Scarf This Fall

Fall is my favorite season of the year because I can wear cute boots, peacoats, and scarves galore. However, I have to wait while the fickle San Francisco weather decides whether we're going through one last heat wave or if it's finally going to get chilly. In the mean time, I've been window shopping online for some new scarves. I've got long and short scarves, but don't own any infinity scarves. Also known as circle scarves or loop scarves, these scarves are one big knit ring that you can loop around your neck. Hang it over your neck once like a casual necklace or wrap it around twice (or more) to protect you from the cold. I've found infinity scarves ranging from under $15 to $350! On the lower end, American Eagle has a rugby-inspired Sparkly Striped Circular Scarf you can take to a sporting event or on a day out with friends. If you're looking to splurge, I'm loving the super luxurious Infinity Cashmere Scarf by James Perse. Check out my slideshow for more infinity scarves!

Step back in time and put some sexy in your step with a pair of spats by Efia. Efia handknits all of her designs. Efia, an aspiring actress and accessories designer, is often inspired by handmade materials from other independent artists. She loves soft textures, natural fibers, interesting ribbons and unique buttons. And she loves to use rich bold colors as well as nice feminine touches in her designs. She not only designs spats, but also handmade scarflettes, scarves, and fingerless mittens. The Bluebird of Happiness scarflette is darling and will add such a splash of color to your winter wardrobe. And who can pass up accessories in this shopping season, they are your easiest way to extend your wardrobe. Efia even has some handsome man mitts for the guy in your life. No matter how much you try to keep your inner nerdiness and Facebook addiction on the down-low, we are living in a digital age, so it's about time you openly embrace it -- in and out of the closet! While all this fuss about portable HD camcorders and YouTube videos and TV channels may make pixelated images a thing of the distant past (reserved for old school Pac Man machines), digital prints are making a comeback in the form of clothing and accessories! This Pixelated Stretch Dress by Nicole Miller is perfect for the computer nerd who really knows how to clean up, and this Pixel Flower Necklace will have you rubbing your eyes in confusion... in a good way! Take a look at the slideshow for some of my favorite pixelated prints that will play all sorts of geeky tricks on your eyes.

I tweeted the other day about an Apartment Therapy post that highlighted how beautiful shopping bags can look when framed and hung on the wall. Then today, I spied a lovely shot of a framed Vera scarf that also does double-duty when framed and hung as art. Now if you're anything like me, you have more beautiful scarves in your drawers than any one fashionista could ever wear and thinking about them as art just may inspire you to bring them a few of them into the light of day. Or perhaps this idea is just the excuse you need to wrap your manicured hands around just one more silk beauty for your collection. Click the slideshow and you'll find some vintage scarves that can adorn both your jacket and your mantle!
