Hot In The Hive: Jee Vice Heated Sunglasses In Orange ...

Whenever I try and shop for sunglasses, I always see the usual black or tortoiseshell frames. Yawn! And at the risk of getting unfriended by all my best girlfriends on Facebook, I'm actually not the biggest fan of Sex and the City. But that doesn't mean I don't look up to Carrie and the gang for some major fashion inspiration especially for sunglasses. So on Sarah Jessica Parker's first day on the set back in her role as Carrie Bradshaw, she wore a fabulous purple tiered dress, some killer Louboutins, and orange shades. Whoa... orange shades? Leave it to the Sex and the City wardrobe department on finding a pair of orange sunglasses that look absolutely chic instead of looking like something my 7 year-old cousin would wear. Jee Vice has been around since 2003 making sunglasses the likes of Anne Hathaway, Salma Hayek, Katherine Heigl, and Lindsay Lohan have all been seen wearing. So grab a pair of Jee Vice sunglasses and get ready to put your best face on for the paparazzi!

    Price: $170

Sex And The City Fashion Is Back!

Remember when that whole debate was going on about whether or not Carrie Bradshaw and the women of "Sex and the City" should have to suffer the perils of the economy along with the rest of us? They decided no. And we're kind of glad because we just got a peek at some of Sarah Jessica Parker's outfits for the movie sequel! Sure, we're super jealous we probably can't afford anything the ladies will be wearing on the Sex and the City sequel movie. But we're also pretty content just looking at their clothing. And drooling a bit too. That white Halston dress Carrie is wearing? We already want it. And we wouldn't really mind snagging the Christian Louboutin shoes and gold Chanel clutch along with it. Take a peek at LimeLife to see the rest of the droolworthy outfits SJP is wearing!

With New York fresh from fashion week festivities you may think all of the excitement in concentrated on the east coast, but last night's Academy Awards are all the proof we need that Hollywood can hold its own in this ever-changing arena. With eight wins for "Slumdog Millionaire" including Best Picture and a long-awaited Oscar for Kate Winslet for her performance in "The Reader," the red carpet wasn't the only impressive part of the night, but is indeed worth another look. Marion Cotillard was stunning in Dior (she's also the face of the brand), and Penelope Cruz looked absolutely divine in vintage Pierre Balmain. Angelina Jolie's Elie Saab gown, though understated, was a refreshing change from the draped silhouettes she's been showing off as of late, and Natalie Portman shined in bubblegum pink Rodarte. Get Sarah Jessica Parker's Timelessly Chic Look

For the opening of the Broadway play "The American Plan", fashion all-star Sarah Jessica Parker rocked a look that blended elements of her "Sex and the City" fashion-forward alter-ego Carrie Bradshaw with a bit of timeless style a la Jackie Kennedy. SJP mixed in classic with funky wearing a cream coat atop a flirty 50's style polka dot dress and toting a purple suede bag. A pearl necklace, some glittery diamonds, and a classic pair of black Christian Louboutin pumps rounded out the mix of this elegant look. Thrown together this look is timeless and incredibly chic. Pulled apart, however, and each piece can work to create a myriad of ensemble options- that's the beauty of investing in the classics.

Lights, Camera, Fashion! Gift Ideas For Movie-Loving ...

Academy Award-winning costume designer Catherine Martin (whose credits include Moulin Rouge....she also did the fashion in Australia) said "fashion and film run in a circular motion. Film can influence the runway and the runway can influence film €“ there is this constant exchange." As a movie junkie and fashion writer, I find something fashionable in every single film I watch. Whether it is the throwback dapper charm of Ocean's 11 (the original one, not the one with George and Brad) or a ruthless look at the fashion magazine industry (with a vicious Meryl Streep) in The Devil Wears Prada, I have a long list of favorite fashion films €“ and some of them have nothing to do with fashion. Before Sarah Jessica Parker was strutting in Manolos in Sex and the City: The Movie, she and Helen Hunt were the epitome of '80s style in Girls Just Want to Have Fun. And then there are those documentaries that take us behind the runway like Loic Prigent's Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton and David Teboul's insightful Yves Saint Laurent doc. Movies like Mahogany (where Diana Ross plays an aspiring fashion designer) or Factory Girl (about Andy Warhol's boho-chic "it" girl Edie Sedgwick) are always a staple for the cinematic fashionista and how could we forget Duckie in Pretty in Pink? Check out all these fashionable movies €“ and believe me, this is just the tip of the stiletto when it comes to my favorites.
