Normally the word "backpack" makes you think of the beat-up Jansport that took you through 4 years of textbook-towing through high school. Or, in my case, my shiny patent Hello Kitty pack from 3rd grade that's probably still tucked in my closet somewhere. But when leather is added to the equation, backpacks suddenly get a seriously fashionable upgrade, becoming more of a sporty-inspired handbag than just a practical means of hauling your homework around. Replace your go-to hobo or satchel with a leather rucksack or backpack when you want to go a little more casual without looking sloppy, or when you need more mobility without a clunky tote attached to your side. True, they're better suited for fashion than function (at least compared to the latest wear-and-tear-proof North Face creation), but they're still a cute-and-casual handbag shape to add to your extensive collection.
