    Steal M.I.A.'s Pixelated Punky Street-Kid Style...At Your Own ...

I've been a big fan of M.I.A. for a while, but it was just recently that I discovered her video for her hit "Paper Planes." M.I.A. is without a doubt the reigning queen of street style, so much so that her look has been interpreted (she says ripped off) by some major designers. Always moving to the beat of her own drum, she rocks day-glo, splashy prints, bold jewelry and has a wardrobe of printed and shiny leggings that would make any 90s lover proud. Having been making her own clothes for many of her music videos, she now makes a few pieces of her own available on her Web site. The result: bomber jackets and spandex jumpsuits in her trademark pixelated ethnic prints. While not everyone can rock her crazy look with such ease, you can steal parts of it for an ultra-cool street kid style- try an oversized t-shirt over some shiny onyx leggings, and instead of stilettos, throw on with some hi-top Chuck Taylors and one of M.I.A.'s own "Afrika" printed bomber jackets for a punky feel. Top the look off with some Mr. T-style gold chains and, if you can afford it, a vintage gold Rolex. Check out her rockin' video and then click the slideshow for some inspiration!
