Bag Of The Week: The J.J. Winters Envelope Chain Bag

While the bag itself is worthy of a double-take, I have to admit that it was actually the name that initially caught my attention: the J.J. Winters Envelope Chain Bag in Silver Baby Turtle. Alright, it's J.J. Winters, so you can likely surmise that it's celeb-approved yet still somewhat affordable... while the terms "envelope" and "chain" are a little more obvious, seeing that it clearly boasts a fold-over flap and a chain shoulder strap. But Silver Baby Turtle? Okay, so it looks more like a disco mosaic than a sea creature if you ask me, but I guess I can see the inspiration. Either way, it's totally shiny-chic in a way that's not too flashy for daytime, and the metallic leather is a fun alternative to tired embellishments like studs and rhinestones. In any case, call it whatever you want -- I'm diggin' it!

Shoe Of The Week: Matiko Sudi Cut Out Boot

As popular as cut-out booties are nowadays, I have to say they're getting a little redundant. After all, there are only so many places you can strategically cut holes in a leather shoe before they start to look like sandals... and let's face it -- in these exponentially declining temperatures, there's hardly any room left in your closet more sandals, of all things. But something about these tall Matiko Sudi Cut Out Boots is refreshingly unique -- maybe it's the cool mosaic cut-out design, or maybe it's the fact that they're still recognizably boots despite their aesthetic modifications. Show some skin (or skin-colored tights) through the peekaboo cut-outs or have a little fun with the design by wearing brightly-colored leggings underneath -- or even sparkly tights for a sneak peek of shimmer.
