The Winter Olympics may have just wrapped up, but I'm already looking forward to this summer's World Cup in South Africa! And although you'd probably have to sell your soul at this point to actually get a ticket to one of the matches, you can still be in the heart of the action by planning a vacay south of the equator. At the Palace of the Lost City in Sun City, South Africa (just 1.5 miles north of Johannesburg), you can relax in your room fit for a king or take a dip in the luxurious "palace" pool while the players are getting dirty on the field, and then party with your fellow soccer fans at night. As one of the world's most extravagant hotels, its magnificent architecture and lavish decor that pays homage to South African art and culture will have you really thinking you're living in a palace! The World Cup comes along every 4 years, but the ideal excuse for a trip to South Africa is never this tempting! Check the slideshow for some photos of this incredible resort!
