Olympic fever is all around and Project Runway was not exempt! On Wednesday's episode, Tim took the designers on another famous field trip, this time to the Armory Track and Field Training Center- the largest indoor track in the world where Olympians train for track and field events. There, the group met this week's guest judge- U.S. Olympian Apolo Ohno, who presented their challenge: create a womens-wear look for the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics. For inspiration, the designers visited the center's museum which holds countless images from Olympics past. With a half hour to sketch and $150 to spend on fabrics at Mood, the designers were given a day to create a look that was chic, wearable, sporty, and most importantly, one that represented the American spirit. Some designers eagerly embraced this challenge, others completely lost sight of the task at hand. However, someone had to get the boot.
