    image

We all want to travel the world, but sometimes we have to settle for scoring those foreign pieces from the comfort of our desks. Embroidery is a perfect way to exude that chic traveler look. Today's Hive 5 features five wonderful dresses that can be delivered to your house with a few clicks of your mouse. Slip on Nanette Lepore's Dazzle Me dress, fawn over Matthew Williamson's black and blue tunic dress and black chiffon number, JMM's vintage inspired dress will snag compliments galore, and Odd Molly's creme colored garment will certainly impress for day. While I'm sure we'd all prefer a plane ticket, these dresses are a pretty fabulous alternative. Check out the SLIDESHOW to see them for yourself.

Sheer Elegance: 5 Artistic Sheer Bras

    image

I've fallen in love with a lot of new (and some not so new) bras that are composed primarily of sheer fabrics and embroidered with all kinds of elegant patterns. When the customers in the fitting room ring that doorbell and ask me to deliver them a specific bra, I find myself adding a few of these lovely selections to the group. They're not always the most practical bras. Often the embroidery will show through tight fitting tops. I think the best way to describe them is simply "classy". The sheer fabrics are sexy no doubt, but the intricate embroidery adds so much elegance that the eye cannot help but be drawn to the artistry of the garment over what lies beneath. I own at least one of each of the beauties in the slide show and they all give me that extra boost of sexy confidence throughout the day.

Hive 5: Bow to the Bow

    image

Today's Hive 5 is dedicated to the bow. Sweet and pretty, bow designs are popping up all over the hive. Bows are the perfect juxtaposition to the rough and edgy look that has made its way from street style to the runways this season. Bows will give you a touch of femininity. There are so many options to choose from with this style. Forget the string and slip on Rachel Leigh's bow ring as a chic reminder; a Maison Martin Margiela wallet with a leather gift bow is a fabulous gift choice, or accent your waist with a bow motif in C Solnicki's bright pink dress. No longer solely for the prim proper prepster, the bow is a sweet way to bright up any look; so try tying it into your look this season. We all remember the glamorous long satin gloves that Audrey Hepburn donned in Breakfast at Tiffany's, or the dainty white gloves that were prevalent fixtures in the closets of the etiquette-savvy, and of course the Michael Jackson look. Today the glove is back with a vengeance. With styles drawn and melded together from each of these vastly different aesthetics, we are left with the Super Glove. It's tough, ladylike, and glamorous; in other words, it's perfect. Whether its bows or pleats at the wrist, or a Holly Golightly glove in sleek leather, if the gloves fit, wear them with everything! Check out the SLIDESHOW to view my picks from inside the Hive.
