Brooches and other costume jewelry made a wonderful comeback in the 1980's after the decline of fashion jewelry sales in the 1970's. Thank god! There was such a variety in the 1980's to choose from.
This is a lovely stylish lady portrait brooch in classic colors of the 1980's. Red, purple, teal and gold. Her lovely retro style hat is in a dark teal and crimson color. She dons a beautiful red rose behind her right ear, which covers it. Notice in the side picture the gold tips on the rose. A nice hand-painted touch.
She is wearing fashionable gold and black earrings seen on her left lobe. Last, there are wonderful accents of purple on the brooch.
Brooch appears to be hand painted, which is very nice. It does not have that mass production look. The brooch is made of a nice plastic resin that has no chips or cracks.
Roll-over safety pin clasp works well on the back.
