    Bag of the Week: Chloé 'Transitions' Color Block Bag

    The Chloé 'transitions' color block bag is lovely on so many levels. With its lush, vibrant stripes, perfectly pleated exterior, and dainty frame closure, it's pretty much spring in handbag form. But there's one level that's keeping us from calling it our own-- you guessed it, the price. At $3,575, it retails for more than the total monthly rent for my (also lovely) three bedroom North Beach apartment. How's that for perspective?

    Luckily if it's the trendy striped/patchwork look that you crave, you can find it without that side dish of sticker shock. We've come up with five stylish substitutes that you may even find you like better, seeing as they don't induce massive pangs of guilt.
