As long you're not an international spy, or living under a false identity, it sure is nice to keep personal documentation of a trip. Jotting down little anecdotes of your days spent in whatever fabulous location you find yourself in - from Turkey to Timbuktu - is a wonderful way to recount later. I have one friend who is so organized that she also travels with a glue stick, and glues her ticket stubs, pieces of brochures and postcards into her journal! While I'm not suggesting you get quite so Type-A about it, I do recommend writing about your trip as you go, of course, in style. I especially love this
Leather Destinations Journal, for an old Hollywood travel feel (train case and handsome, debonair suitor not included). For the traveler with no specific destination, the
Lonely Planet Travel Journal could make a good companion, with a time zone wheel and world maps as trusty, useful tools. Check out my slideshow for plenty of stylish travel journals!
