Which Of Lady Gaga's Looks Is The Wildest?

    image
Ida Hsiang on Nov 7, 2009 9:19 AM PST
By now, there is no need to prelude Lady Gaga with an introduction or description. Everyone knows who she is. Plus, how exactly would you describe this powerhouse entertainer? Her blindingly platinum blonde hair, those bling-ed out sunglasses, her lack of pants and one over-the-top get-up after another... one almost forgets that through all the crazy costumes, strange antics, make-out sessions with muppets and smoke and mirror filled performances, this girl can actually sing! Fantastical ensembles aside, Lady Gaga is known for pumping out one hot dance hit after another, making it impossible to not get up and bust a few moves to her beats. But let's face it. She's become a household name due to more than her songstress talents. Those crazy costumes and over-the-top outfits are what made us sit up and take notice. Some would say she's the leader in avant-garde fashion, others find her amusing, while still more would claim that her fashion sense belongs in an asylum! What do you think? Take our poll below and tell us which Lady Gaga ensemble is the wildest!

Feather Report: New iPhone App To Help You Get Dressed!

Fashion + Weather = Feather. My friend Melisa of Feather Report and The Lil Bee has just launched the Feather Report iPhone app. Look to it as your own portable, personal style consultant. You'll never have to look out the window and wonder, "What am I gonna wear today?" It's rainy today in SF and this is the outfit that was picked out for me. I love it! What's great is that each of the items listed in the outfit for today are linked so you can purchase them directly from your iPhone. If I like today's outfit, I can easily save it to my favorites with a press of a button. I love to get exposed to new pieces of clothing and how to put them all together. Using a GPS weather tracker, Feather Report serves up a new outfit to your iPhone each day, based on your specific location. Outfits are categorized based on body types, occasions, and weather patterns. You can also search for outfits based on your individual needs such as Date Night, Out with the Girls, etc. If you're traveling, get weather forecasts for your upcoming trips. Sounds cool? Don't You Dare Call These Tees Basic!

    image

We love our basics, we really do... but we'd be lying if we said they were the most exciting things in our closets. Sure, that American Apparel v-neck goes with 18 other outfits (and that's just the grey one) but honestly, it's kind of boring on its own, right? Why not swap out those boring basics with tees that have just a little something extra? Tiny embellishments transform plain tees from reliable standbys to fashionable favorites in their own right, and they're just as versatile as ever. Take this jersey tank from Casual Couture by Green Envelope- from the front, it's a simple, well-cut top, but the back features an exposed zipper that will add a little edge to any outfit. The pearl tee from Sauce is a girly spin on everyone's favorite slouchy pocket tee, and J. Crew's jeweled tissue tee practically has a statement necklace built in and would look perfect paired with everything from scruffy boyfriend jeans to a polished skirt and blazer. See the slideshow for your new favorite basics!

Stylediarist grnyr had a simple goal when she started her Stylediary: to get out of the jeans + top rut. I'm sure most of us can relate, as putting together simple outfits can sometimes prove to be a bother. However, the Twin Cities native was able to combine pieces she already owned with new accessories to create a well-constructed, simply elegant style for herself! Whether it was a belted cardigan over skinny jeans, or a mustard vest to punch up her workwear, grnyr gave me some great ideas to update my look within the constructs of my closet. Best of all, the pieces range from Target to Anthropologie to Guess, thus are totally affordable. Check out grnyr's StyleDiary and my slideshow of my favorite looks!
