This lovely steel pedestal features a glass bowl on top. The bowl can be used for potpourri, or filled with water to float flowers or candles. For exterior applications, the bowl makes a perfect bird bath. Available in two finishes: Flat black for interior applications and zinc verdigris for exterior use. The bowl has a textured finish on the outside, with a molded oak leaf pattern. When used to float candles, it produces wonderful reflections.
The zinc verdi version is shot-blasted and coated with an application of flame-sprayed zinc. (Marine vessel fabricators apply flame-sprayed zinc to all ferrous metals resulting in a highly resistant coating, which prevents oxidation). Once shot-blasted and zinc coated, the piece is then painted with a two part epoxy paint. Finally, a dry brush technique is used to apply the final faux finish.
