    Wedding What-To-Wear-Underneaths!

    image

Now, while it's not something all the guests will see, you should put some thought into what you're wearing underneath your beautiful gown on your wedding day. For the big day, it's all about comfort, control, and some sass, because your after-reception will be the inception of some intimate Mister and Misses time. Aside from the assortment of playful pieces of string and lace that you'll need to stop your new hubby's heart in its tracks for the entirety of your honeymoon, an "under ensemble" for the outfit in which you've been planning to take the plunge is essential for chapel day. Consider things with a corset to tauten up your marriage mirage as well as things with shelf to tease, as your man will probably be ripping you out of the gear you've spent months arranging. Have a secure, smooth and stimulating big day with tips from this undergarment-slideshow!

MINT Jodi Arnold Spring 2009: Creative Embroidery and the ...

I'm swooning over the Spring 2009 collection of MINT Jodi Arnold featuring creative embroidery and the color nude. A shift dress ($561) is embellished with strips of ribbon that have been pleated and hand embroidered. Black chiffon lining decorates the hem of the sleeves and neckline. The ribbon embroidery wraps towards the back of the dress, along the bottom. The intricate hand embroidered work is just breath-taking! But what I love the most is this this continuing theme of the color nude with the Side Tie Mini Dress ($561) and the Cascade Dress ($418). Both dresses are modern and stunning. I love the pairing with the sandals, either silver or gray, to go in tune with the muted shade of nude. Take a peek at more pictures by clicking over to Coquette!

Dressing In Nude From Head To Toe

    image
Pauline Montupet on Mar 30, 2009 11:24 AM PDT
There is nothing more chic than dressing in one tone from head to toe. It used to be all black, but spring's new fresh trend is head to toe nude. Soft neutrals dominated the runways in the spring shows. Chloe and Stella McCartney's shows were both an ode to pale flesh tones, Donna Karan gave us warm nudes that evoke suntans and sandy beaches, even the man of darkness Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy showed beige clothing and buttery pale leather accessories. Wear the look head to toe with a sexy Jay Godfrey fringe dress and a pair of nude booties; top it all off with an ivory or nude sweater. But if you're feeling more adventurous beat the evening chill with the leather jacket in a non-traditional nude. Madison Marcus' 'Anthem' jacket would finish of the look perfectly or look great over a black outfit for just a touch of nude. Pale accessories are also a great way to dabble in the trend; nude or beige shoes give your legs that long endless look. A light handbag is a nice alternative and just as versatile as black or brown. Go a little or go all the way, but whatever you do, make sure you have a few nude pieces in your spring wardrobe. Click the slideshow to see everything you need to go nude for spring.

Am I the only one who gets major anxiety before Valentine's Day? When you're a single gal, you're either nervous about finding a date or just depressed that your only dates are Ben & Jerry. When you're a coupled lady, you're worried about all the expectations and hype of the most romantic day of the year. Why does this night have to be so special? You look down at your abs - what used to be a six-pack looks more like a keg after a week full of Valentine's Day chocolates. Not to fret - here are a few tips to get you looking in tip-top shape for that sexy lingerie you just purchased - no sit-ups required! Start with an all-over body scrub to get rid of any dry rough patches. Then use one of Christy Turlington's favorites, Nude Smoothing Body Refiner with coffee and ginkgo on your legs and bum. The caffeine will temporarily reduce unsightly lumps and bumps and lift your legs to supermodel shape. Fake flat abs and toned legs with an all over airbrush tanner. Dust shimmer powder on the sides of your shinbones and down the center of your stomach for a toning effect. And one more thing you can't forget to pep up before V-Day is your bust! It Cosmetics makes a Beautiful Breasts Shadow Palette with contour cremes that can help you fake a more ample cleavage. Who needs the gym when a little trickery can go a long way? Try Nude Colored Heels For A Naturally Stylish Look

    image

Barefoot and beautiful! Well ... almost. 2009 brings on shoes with less bling and something a little more natural -- or, rather, natural-toned. Katie Holmes recently sported some nearly-naked colored Stuart Weitzman shoes, but the skin-hued heels have been gracing carpets of all kinds from some other Hollywood favorites like Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Salma Hayek, Debra Messing and Penelope Cruz. For a shoe that goes with any outfit, these ladies kicked off their color and opted for tones that blended right in. It may take a minute or so to find the right color for you, so don't take just one specific pick as the last word over a shoe that will match best. A fairer skin may find that a beige colored shoe is the best blend, while one that's a camel toned may be just what's needed to look seamless on a darker skin. For legs that look like they go on forever, take a cue from some famous fashion moguls and find some flesh-fitting kicks in my slideshow!
