This pot has a deep-seated meaning for me: its inspired by a couscoussier the traditional two-piece pot, the stew braised in the curved vessel underneath, the couscous steamed in the perforated pan above that my late sister, Thomasina, gave to me as a house-warming present for my first home 20 years ago now. The big curved pan is perfect for long pasta, for stews, for soups, for stocks and just about anything. And although I do use the top part for couscous occasionally, most often I use it to steam vegetables and even old-fashioned English puddings. This pot is as useful as it is beautiful: a real heirloom item and one that comes from the heart.
