    Influential International Style: Victoria Beckham

    image

Victoria Beckham, or Posh, as she was first introduced to us as a Spice Girl, has been renowned for her fabulous fashion sense since the mid 1990's, overshadowing her music and acting career (Spice World, anyone?). She's worked the catwalk for Cavalli, and has been the spokeswoman for Dolce & Gabbana and Marc Jacobs, not to mention starting a very sucessful limited-edition denim line, VB Rocks, for Rock & Republic. Last year, her full line debuted during New York Fashion Week to much critical, not to mention commercial success. As for her fashion sense, Beckham has a few golden rules, and recommends dressing "virginal sexy." As the sky-high-heel and minidress proponent said to The Independent last year, "It's great to make a statement now and again, but try and stick to a few classic guidelines. I always think if you're revealing lots of cleavage, you should have your legs hidden. Or if you want to show some leg, wear a jumper dress on top. Don't let it all hang out; it's much sexier to leave a little to the imagination." Check out my slideshow for ways to adapt Posh's style to your wardrobe! Photo credit: PR Photos

Capsule collections are the new black. Alexander Wang has his T line and an upcoming partnership with the Gap, Jason Wu has "The Exclusive," an 8 piece classic line, and now Stella McCartney has hers. This week marks the unveiling of her exclusive capsule collection for Net-a-porter.com. The limited edition collection for Summer '09 includes a partnership on one original print with British pop artist Sir Peter Blake. The collection unveils its 4 parts: Magnolia, Poem, Island, and Kites with four films in four days starting on May 5th. The collection is meant to be mixed and matched to create that perfectly undone, done look. Other videos on the site include interviews with Stella where she speaks about her inspiration and her favorite piece from the line (the Sir Peter Blake cloud print espadrille wedge) and her collaboration with Blake. The collection is available now at net-a-porter.com and will be there till it's gone- but hurry! Some items are already sold out! Check out the slideshow to see some highlights.

Video Style Steal: Kelly Clarkson Buttons Up, Then Lets Loose ...

If it wasn't clear enough in the previous Kelly Clarkson style steal, I'm totally loving the songstress's comeback as she rides it out, and I fully intend to soak up her rocker-chick presence in the spotlight until she goes back into hibernation and deprives me of catchy breakup therapy tunes for another long while. In the video for her first single, "My Life Would Suck Without You," Kelly showed us her softer side with a casual-cool take on her usual edgy style, and now with her second single, "I Do Not Hook Up," Kelly tackles rumors head on and proves that she doesn't need a boy on her arm to complete her outfit! One thing I've always loved about her videos is the way she tells a story through the scenes, and then never fails to break out with a belting chorus in a kick-ass outfit, rocking out with her band behind her. Makes me wish I had my own music-playing entourage to whip my hair in front of! While I'll never be Kelly Clarkson (aside from our matching and nose studs and curvy rear ends), I can at least covet the clothes she dons in the video as she causes a ruckus at an uppity lunch party, then lets loose onstage while out on the town. With a sexy fitted halter dress and studded shoes made to walk all over those misbehaving boys, it's way easier to channel Kelly's looks than it is to sing along to the video on-key! Click SEE VIDEO to watch it for yourself, then check out the slideshow to find out how you can cop her clothing!

Exclusive Stella McCartney Cloud-Print Collab With Pop Artist ...

Designer Stella McCartney's latest capsule collection has us floating on air. Exclusive to Net-a-Porter, Stella's exclusive collection features a graphic cloud print by Sir Peter Blake. Blake is one of Britain's most well-known pop artists and is famous for The Beatles' album sleeve for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. And to think that Sir Peter Blake was paid only a pittance (200 pounds) for the 1967 album! Stella's Sir Peter Blake cloud-print collection features a dress made of silk jersey, which takes on an ethereal summery feel with its flowing draped sleeves, a deep V-neck and a self-tie sash at waist. Other pieces include an organic cotton tee, wedge tie espadrille wedges and cloud-print tote. Check out our friends at TheFind for more info and other hot fashion finds!
