Gardening is all the rage - thanks to Michelle Obama! And boy do we have some eco-friendly gardening treasures for you. We've always been fans of DIY gardening, long before it became popular (Wendy has the green thumb). These finds from our friends over at Etsy will help give your garden a new look, as well as stimulate the economy for our small independent businesses. Check out the handmade Plant Markers from ArtisanHands, or the retro Macrame Plant Hanger, by Plantelady for $35. And don't forget about your feathered friends when planning your garden. You will love the eco Reclaimed Glass Bird Feeder by RedYellowandBlueInk for $21. It is made from an upcycled street light. If you buy one, a $1 will go to the National Audubon Society. Check out all of our faves in the slideshow.

Hot In The Hive: Gianna Rose Atelier Robin's Egg Soap

I like nature as much as the next person. I love going to gardens and nurseries to check out flowers and plants (that I'll probably kill if I ever take them home) and I'm all for hiking the trails. But you're probably never going to find me roughing it in the mountainside without any running water or my blowdryer. Since I can't bring plants home, I've been looking for things from nature I can't kill. Luckily, I found the Gianna Rose Atelier Robin's Egg Soaps. At first glance, they look like real thing. Don't worry, no one robbed a mother robin of her eggs! These soaps are vegetable based with soothing chamomile extracts. Plus, oatmeal and wheat bran give these eggs their exfoliating speckles. Now I can get a touch of nature every time I wash my hands without harming any animals or killing innocent plants!

    Price: $20.90-24.90
Who Found It: BarenakedChef was the first to add the Gianna Rose Atelier Robin's Egg Soaps to the Hive.

Amsterdam International Fashion Week: Bibi Van der Velden

Dutch jewellery designer Bibi Van der Velden opened Amsterdam International Fashion Week with her show titled "Afrozonian Affluences." Van der Velden created with her show an exotic and Utopian world where ancient natural materials where taken out of their context to create futuristic new designs. Ostrich eggs, taxidermy tropical birds, tiny shells, mammoth teeth and an abundance of colourful feathers€“ mostly treasures discovered on the designer€™s extensive journeys to Africa, were transformed into pieces of wearable art. With this collection, Van der Velden used nature€™s own beauty to return to her core being, looking for a respectful balance between nature and design. With her show, Bibi van der Velden gave the audience a combination of theatre, music, art, fashion and sculpture that blended in perfectly with one inspirational experience-challenging the audience to rethink their definition of what jewellery really is.

As was the case with her Fall 2008 collection, Tracy Reese drew inspiration from nature for Spring/Summer 2009, with a lineup that marked a beautiful progression through the seasons. Stunning colors abounded: winter white, sky blue, garden green, desert neutral, yellow, watercolor pastels, vibrant colored prints - if you see it outside, chances are it walked down this runway. Tracy balanced the super sweet, ultra-femme vibe of the collection with bold and uber-glam accessories including large old-school glamour earrings and multi-chain lariat necklaces. This presentation also marked the debut of Black Label, a high-end version of the signature collection, with frothy organza, airy chiffon, and rich brocades, perfect for channeling your inner glamour-girl. Cuts/Shapes: Relaxed Silhouettes, architectural shapes, layered chiffon; Trends: Jumpsuits, ankle trousers, peplum, florals; Celeb Sightings: Emma Roberts, Brandy, Bijou Phillips, Ana Ortiz, Malin Akerman.

Hey eco-fabulous ladies, (I know you're out there!) want a cool way to flaunt your earth loving style when out on the town? Nature-inspired cocktail rings! That's right, these Diddy-approved hand candies feature animal, plant, and other earth-inspired designs, and they're just in time for fall. The rings range from cute and chunky seashells, to blingin' geodes, to an outrageous diamond-encrusted octopus. I know that they don't exactly relate to "green" living, but whoever said jewelry had to serve any other purpose except to make you feel fabulous? These rings make a statement, and they would be a splendid addition to your favorite fall garments. Check out my SLIDESHOW for my five favorite nature-ific rings - straight from the Hive!

Vacay Style: Hit the Beach One More Time Before Fall Gets Here!

I don't know about you, but I'm not ready for summer to end. And, frankly, with September being the best beach month of the year, I see no reason to start feeling like Fall's just around the corner. (Fall, I'll welcome you with open arms when it's time to start my 30-Days-Till-Thanksgiving-Mashed-Potatoes Countdown - until then, back off.) So in the spirit of late Summer vacations and wringing every moment of sun and warmth out of my favorite season, I scoured the Web for the best beaches in the US. Turns out, some well-traveled folks have very strong opinions on the subject! Travel and Leisure, for example, loves Cape Cod, Massachusetts for its prime swimming and considers Pfeffer State Beach in Big Sur, California an excellent nature escape. The folks over at Daily Candy love Cape May, New Jersey and Santa Cruz, California for their old school beach town vibe. And Gorp says you'll see the best sunset at Polihale, Hawaii. My latest obsession? Taking the perilous, cliff-side road from San Francisco to gorgeous Stinson Beach...a 3.5-mile dog-friendly stretch of khaki sand with quintessential California coastline views. Summer's not over yet, baby!
