For those of you who don't know, a "murse" is a man purse - but the key to rockin' one is to make it NOT look like a purse. I swear, I am just not diggin' it when I see urban hipster males gallivanting around the city with a tote on their shoulder. It makes them look like a Golden Girl rather than a metro-chic male. There are many men out there who have to carry more than just a wallet with them when they head out to the concrete jungle. Ultimately, a murse is a messenger bag. They are functional, stylish, and suitable for an ambitious (or veteran) go-getter in the city who isn't ready for a droning financial district briefcase. Vertical bags seem to be the thing with murses right now - so get them while they're hot. If you want to play it safer, sling a classic messenger bag around your shoulder. Or, if the murse has handles, carry it by your side like a suitcase - just don't hang it on your shoulder like a Chloe purse.
