"Twilight" Madness: Which "New Moon" Merchandise Is Creepiest?

    image
Alex Gambardella on Nov 21, 2009 9:19 AM PST
At the risk of sounding super dorky, I'll admit that I've read the Twilight series... more than once. And sure, if I had to pick, I guess I'd say I'm on Team Jacob, but I mean... I wouldn't exactly call myself a Twi-hard. So what if I saw "New Moon" at midnight?! Alright, fine, I'm kind of a Twilighter... but I'm definitely not alone! After all, it's hard not to succumb to the year's ultimate guilty pleasure when you're surrounded by it everywhere you look -- and in light of the "New Moon" Westwood premiere last Monday, "fanpire" fever is undoubtedly in full effect if it hasn't been already! T-shirts, jewelry, makeup... you can hardly go into your favorite store anymore without seeing something emblazoned with R-Pattz's face on it. However, despite my borderline inappropriate crush on Taylor Lautner, I'm a firm believer that there are certain boundaries that need to be observed when it comes to obsessing. Sure, the very nature of the vampire-centric series is eerie in itself, but some Twilight toys and t-shirts take fangirl freakiness to a whole new level. I mean, what is the purpose of a life-size cardboard cutout? And no matter how badly you may want your own icy Edward Cullen to snuggle with, do you really need a duvet cover with his face on it? Vote below on what "New Moon" paraphernalia is the most ridiculous!

Camilla Belle Wears Alexander McQueen Spring 2010

At the debut of the futuristic dystopian flick "2012," Camilla Belle bravely donned an Alexander McQueen creation from his Spring 2010 collection, which premiered in Paris a few weeks ago. The entire Alexander McQueen collection featured a futuristic look and reptilian themed prints. Belle's dress was a short dress with a puff-ball skirt and gem trim on the sleeves. She wisely accessorized this attention-grabber of a dress with a minimal theme in mind. A simple bangle, plain earrings, and nude platform heels ensured that accessories would not compete with the dress. It would be easy to overdo it with chains or diamonds or "look-at-me" shoes. Also in attendance at the movie premiere was American Idol season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert. The soundtrack to the movie features his song "Time for Miracles." Critics describe the song as "perfect" for the movie in which the world faces a huge cataclysmic event and those left have to fight for survival. Written by Roland Emmerich and Harald Kloser, the movie's cast includes John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Thandie Newton. Woody Harrelson and Danny Glover are also included in the cast of thousands. The film premiered November 4 in Los Angeles. This week it is scheduled for release in Belgium, France, and the UK. J.Lo, Katy, Or Vivica: Who Rocked Basic Black Best At The ...

It's no surprise that a documentary on the late and great Michael Jackson would draw in a crowd of A-list celebrities, all wanting to show their love and support for the King of Pop. The tragic and sudden death of the greatest entertainer of all time sent shock waves through the community and "This Is It" is one way to commemorate Jackson, as well as keep him with us for a little longer. Everybody who's anybody, and their mom and kids, showed up dressed to impress with styles ranging from dressed up tees to floor-sweeping gowns. One common color that celebrities showed up in was chic head-to-toe black ensembles that were edgy, sexy, sleek or just plain sweet. Perhaps it was out of respect for the loss that the Jackson family and the rest of the world has recently endured, but there's no denying that they all looked like "Pretty Young Things." So who do you think rocked the basic black look the best? Was it Jennifer Lopez in her edgy black panel sheath and rockin' knee boots? Or perhaps you preferred Katy Perry's lacy, glittering gown? And there's no question that Vivica A. Fox looked smoking in a body-hugging, one-shouldered mini. Take the poll below and let us know who you think looked best at the Michael Jackson's "This Is It' Premiere! Photo credit: PR Photos

Who Had The Best 'Do At The "Good Hair" Premiere?

For a celebrity, it's always vital to look your best wherever paparazzi might be present (like, uh, everywhere?)... so naturally a Los Angeles film premiere is no occasion to slack off, no matter how casual the affair. But when the film is Chris Rock's docu-comedy "Good Hair," the pressure is on to be more than just impeccably clothed. Last week's Westwood debut brought forth a throng of fashionable ladies to the red carpet, including Gabrielle Union and Nia Long who both showed off bouncy curly coifs that hardly seemed as high-maintenance as the film subjects' stressed-out tresses. And Eve and Raven-Symone were looking perfectly polished from their feet to their follicles with their shiny straightened locks that at least looked fuss-free and effortless (and that's all that matters, right?). Vote below and tell us who you think had the best hair at the "Good Hair" premiere! Photo Credit: PR Photos

Rumer Or Rachel: Who Wore Her Stella McCartney Blazer Better?

    image
Alex Gambardella on Sep 12, 2009 9:22 AM PDT
Fashionistas who invest in a Stella McCartney piece are probably looking forward to an outfit that's sexy, stylish and unique... Unfortunately, when you're fashionable and famous, it's not rare to find someone spotted on the red carpet wearing the same thing! But you can't really blame the actresses who were inadvertently playing "twinzies" for the day -- both Rumer Willis and Rachel McAdams looked hot in their Stella McCartney Lace Noir blazers, and both succeeded in making it their own at their respective events! Rumer wore hers at the "Sorority Row" premiere, belted over a pair of tight black dress pants and suede pumps, while Rachel rocked hers overseas at the Deauville Film Festival, tucked under a high-waisted skirt with black peep-toes. Both chic red carpet looks, but who wore it best? Vote below on which actress you think did the Stella blazer more justice. Photo Credit: PR Photos

Mila Or Jessica: Which Star Shined Brighter At The "Extract" ...

While director Mike Judge is known for catering mainly to the "manly" demographic with male-dominated masterpieces like "Beavis and Butt-Head," "King Of The Hill," and "Office Space," the ladies certainly stole the spotlight at the premiere for his latest jaded employee flick, "Extract." And while the two brunettes are surely stunning in pretty much anything they wear, their metallic minidresses definitely helped amp up the otherwise lackluster red carpet! Mila Kunis, the film's leading lady, shimmered in a Matthew Williamson dress and grey patent pumps, while "90210" star Jessica Stroup was glitzy in a gold t-shirt dress from Notte by Marchesa. While we love seeing two contrasting takes on the metallic trend -- Mila's soft pastel and Jessica's flashy edge -- we just can't have two queens of the red carpet! Vote below on which shiny ensemble was more stellar! Photo Credit: PR Photos
