Bag it up with this environmentally friendly DIY project! A monogram tote adds a much more stylish touch to your ordinary school bag.

If you live on the east coast and are lugging books to school in the snow this winter, go easy on your self and try this chic backpack alternative.

You can get all the materials at your local art supply store -
Canvas tote bag, Letter stencils in the font of your choice, Paintbrush, tape and Fabric paint.

Here€™s how to do it

Step 1 - Tape down the stencil, so that it doesn't move around while your painting.

Step 2 - Paint right over the stencil filling in the negative space completely. Carefully remove the stencil to avoid smudging and let the paint dry.

Tip - Let the paint dry for a few minutes before removing the stencil to ensure precise lines!

This is a great bag for the gym, groceries, and is especially good for storing all your DIY supplies!
