  If there was a king of color inspiration, I think Thomas Paul might be it. I was playing with some colored paper last night, trying to find a combination of tones that tickled my fancy, but I struggled. Oh yes, I struggled. Today I realize I should have used Thomas Paul’s pillows as a resource, duh! In looking at how he puts various shades of moss, aqua, or corn together forces an “Aha! Why couldn’t I think of that?!” moment out of me. The newest source of color motivation: his Flock silk twill pillow in an array of innovative tones.

  Designers Eye Circus pillows

  The plethora of new felted wool Designers Eye pillows reminds me, on this hot summer day in San Francisco, that it is fall even if global warming doesn’t want it to be. I would have to say that soft felted wool is unquestionably on my list of top five favorite materials and in seeing their pillows with the simple yet classic designs my appreciation for the textile deepens. I actually just recently knitted and felted a handbag of my own, but the weather hasn’t changed enough to welcome it into my daily ensemble. Now I want to add some felted Designers Eye pillows to my sofa…if only the temperature would go down by 15-30 degrees!
